It was the interview with another comedien who pointed out Greg Fleet as one of the best acts in the world but it was sad that few people outside Austalia would ever see his work because he had a 'cripping heroin addiction'. In fact I think it was the same comedien who convinced Greg Fleet to take part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and having seen Trainspotting, GF assumed buying H there would be a simple matter. It was not. Each day he had to go to Glasgow to score...

But whatever the detail, still brilliant work - I wish the man well.

Greg Fleet's honesty and storytelling are really powerful. It's inspiring to see someone transform their life and share their experiences so openly; it gives hope to others who might be struggling. Thanks for sharing this piece about him.

Well it shows how hard it can be, especially if you get a name as someone who uses. Years later GF admitted he had used just before he did the show. It's such a shame that someone who SHOULD be world famous essentially couldn't do gigs in places he wasn't certain he could score. He IS apparently clean now but he went through the mill with methamphetamine after H. I don't understand that - surely they are essentailly opposites?
