Does any one even come here? Hi, stranger.

I'm not able to come up with anything witty or interesting, but I can share a little about me. I am a furniture maker, self employed, supplying the upper end of the furniture market. I am a separated parent, and have a typical half holidays/half w/ends deal for my 11 y/old son. We love the time we have together.

Being single and self-employed has fantastic perks and liberties, and... .. some not so insignificant drawbacks. But I'm pretty much at ease with my lot, most of the time.I'm partial to a fierce debate, and not always being in the right. Most of the best ones, these days, I am having on the Internet. Poor spelling scills and all. Ah yes... A proverb of Solomon, as I remember it:

It is not wise to have many friends,
You have to be friendly to them all.

Heh, funny that. Upper end of the furniture market hey? I was just looking at Japanese handsaws this afternoon. This sort of thing..

Hi there, It's been a while, but here I am. Haha, no one uses stuff like that, do they? I think they're for hanging on the wall, or some novel "out in the back shed" love affair with woodwork.(some ammateurs do report a romantic involvement). That could make those exotic handsaws kind'a like sextoys for the descerning craftsman. Ha.

Bunbury near my place has a sister city in Japan somewhere, but I don't know which one. Probably, I should. Maybe perth could have a whole family, like Sydney would be the mother inlaw, lol....
