I have lurked on Bluelight for the past few weeks, researching answers to my questions about opiates. I found the forums so helpful that today I decided to join.
I am JloSnow, 40 year old married female with 5 children. I live in the U.S. and I have under gone 2 spine surgeries for a slew of back problems and find myself now with a decent sized opiate addiction, having been prescribed opiate medications continuously since 2011. I work full time and can usually "function" quite well on my meds, of course without them, I am a mess and I have found myself always running out of my meds early and having to resort to other opiods such as PST and loperamide to get by until I can refill my scripts.
Currently I am prescribed: MS Contin 30 ER, 10/325 hydros, 150 mg lyrica, and Cymbalta. I joined Bluelight to learn how to maximize the meds I have so I can avoid running out, as I have been told I will need pain management for the rest of my life I have no intention of getting off medication because without it I am in so much pain I can barely move.
I am here to learn about harm reduction and to get support from others, hopefully, to keep my opiate use under control. Thank you for indulging me in my intro, I am still learning about the workings of Bluelight, I still cannot edit my profile because I never can see the "settings" link that the help thread talks about, maybe because I am on my phone?
