Tested a pill that users claimed to be "trippy". I gather moreso than MDA.

Mecke reacted as expected but was left with green streaks outside the black.
These stayed until solution was disposed off an hour later.

Any idea what this may mean?

Btw I apologize as this reagent is not from EZ Test.

but the drug detection limit for lsd with mecke is 50 microgram (from that NIJ standard list) , almost half of what is considered a normal dose. Wouldn't it be just a little bit too coincidental that those 50 mics are in the little sample needed for this test? in other words, how much lsd do you think may be present in the pill...?
I would attribute the green streaks to oxidation of the reagent, with no meaning about its contents (especially since the color does not change over time which indicates there's nothing left to oxidize...)

Yes, I agree. There would be little likelihood of 50ug being in the scraping/ sample used.

There are several other compounds mentioned in literature which will also produce a green color with Mecke including opiates of course, but also psilocin & psilocybin (Johns et al, 1978). While it's uncommon for these to be found in pills, this reportedly did occur some years ago around this area.

I must admit I have little experience with Mecke. easy_e, what is the expected shelf life?
