Ok... I have tested 2 pills and the first white mercedes:
dark brown almost purple. Blue on simons no reac on roba. Roll was not that speedy with nice euphoria and "love". Not too potent though. Is it possible that just because the marquis was brown it can still contain mdma... sure felt like it.
second sunflower(light green): Black in 3 with marquis... but light green in both simons and robadope... any idea what this means?

i also need to know what it means if you see (marquis) brown with lots of gas bubbles then turns to black thank you

sorry but while im at it... i have what is supposed to be liquid mdma in a vile. They said that its not ghb... but marquis shows brown and bright red... what would ghb show?

btw the liquid is filled with plenty of yellow crystals. I cannot reproduce the red reaction, may have been an error. The liquid appears to be a neutral medium... I have dried some crystal and here is result: marquis: dark brown to black slow;simons: bluish purple slowly and no reaction on robadope. The reaction to the simons does not appear to be coming from the crystals, but from other smaller particles in the mix. any ideas?

"but light green in both simons and robadope"
Light green seems unusual. This is a non-typical reaction and your conclusion should be that it probably does not contain MDMA or it may contain MDMA plus another substance.
"(marquis) brown with lots of gas bubbles"
MDMA may bubble/fizz a bit but and then display the typical darkpurple for MDxx. You only state it goes black which MAY indicate that this is actually not MDxx. It could be DXM but I do not know how DXM reacts with Simons and Robadope.
In this case, it may actually be a good idea to use some Mecke and see how it reacts.
"liquid mdma in a vile"
I don't think 'liquid MDMA' actually exists but you should NOT use testing reagents on liquids !
(It is in the manual)

I DO NOT have this result on these stars I have -- (as per http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=235132)... Brillliant blue with Simons and light greem with robadope... They defo contain MDMA plus another substance, but I'd love to have a clue what that other substance is :)

While I don't rule out the possibility of another substance being present, I also wonder if the color used in the tablet formulation may be dissolving in the reagent and in some way also preventing formation of the colored secondary amine reaction product. Simons may even be reacting with an excipient, or as 'easy e' mentioned in the other thread, a side reaction product from badly synthesized MDMA.

While Simons is considered a fairly selective reagent for secondary amines, nitroferricyanide does react to produce different colors with (some) substances that are not secondary amines e.g. zinc, SO2, aminophenol etc.

hang on... {thou shalt not post when pissed etc,..} Nitroferricyanida is Robadope then?

There are several variations in the literature, but basically, simons contains acetaldehyde and sodium nitroprusside, and is used with a carbonate buffer.

Who has that big list of what drugs (precription, class a and otherwise) changes to what colour (the main one only, I forget the name(?

There are several sites with fairly comprehensive lists for Marquis reagent. You might like to check this thread by BT, or this Erowid link

A bit of metal (in any shape) would probably be good for the average druggies diet

I hasten to add that mercury is sometimes used in the production of MDMA. While standard lab practice should ensure it's removed, there nevertheless remains the possibility that contamination could occur. And that is one metal nobody wants :p
