I'm completely new so I hope I don't sound too stupid, but I at one point was on focalin. A very nice drug, but can no longer obtain it. I was then prescribed ritalin.. I for some reason can not for the life of me get it to crush up finely. It just beaks down to small chunks and won't crush to powder like focalin did. I've tried every thing I can think of. Hell I used a sharpening stone to grind it up but still just get a little but more powder with powder grin from the rock in it. It's actually generic brand methylphenidate ER. Any advise is helpful. Thanks

but there are pill crushers/grinders @ your local drugstore.
after saying that..
lemme add some hr to my post!
insufflating any kind of pill is not a health-conscious decision.
it's best to take any medication w/the recommended ROA.

Hi Tarzan Welcome to Bluelight. We have a harm reduction focus and help with crushing your pills is not a harm reduction question. Also a Google search will turn up plenty of suggestions.
If you are crushing these in order to snort them, definitely don't snort something with bits of stone from a sharpening stone in it! If you are going to use something you have around the house do not use a sharpening stone, use something clean and hard that is not going to have bits break off and contaminate your pills and place the pills inside a clean sheet of paper or envelope. You can buy pill crushers/grinders, but I suspect the manufacturers of your pills have included inactive ingredients that make it hard to make into a powder, in order to decrease misuse. Why not just take it orally? When you snort pills there can be dangerous inactive ingredients in them that are going into your lungs etc.
