hello & happy new year from the new york woods! must say i'm pleased to be here. i've gotta say, too, that corydalis is a very interesting medicine at 1320 mgs. pleasantly surprised. not really high, but comfortable. a little glow. tiny bit itchy. i understand why it's a standard in traditional chinese medicine for opiate addiction. let's see how long the effects last. only complaint so far is a headache similar to pod tea. pretty minor. this is after a solid 3 year run on hydrocodone/oxycodone & i'm definitely feeling better than i should after last dose of 5 mg hydrocodone at 8 AM (6 pm now). & we will see what sleeping is like tonight. the recommended dose is 1320 mg 3 times daily. this is all i've got to go on so i hope it works out.

oh yes, the intro. it's not nearly as interesting: i was born to change my mind any old way available. opiates are my greatest love. i was clean for 13 years before this pill run. the more things change etc.

Re: kratom, i can't say. i've got some, but haven't tried it yet. i thought i'd see what the corydalis can do. i'm a week without opiate meds & feeling ok. not terrific, but ok. i do start feeling mild wd symptoms 6 - 8 hours after taking corydalis -- not sure from what, but i hope it's the opiates! i just do a dose of corydalis (actually a corydalis/angelica compound), upped from 1320 mgs to 1485 the other day. that smooths it out, along with a dose of schefflera compound, called Qi Ye Lian. i have underlying pain issues & these work for that as well.
sometimes i do a little black seed oil, or gaba-pentin. i'm really amazed at how relatively painless this is.
not that i've been using much, in terms of opiates: 30 mgs/oxycodone daily max, or 40/50 mgs hydro daily max. but it's enough after 3 years, 24/7.

looking forward to trying kratom. probably when i'm feeling well & i have a clear idea about corydalis. i've never seen anything about corydalis addiction, so i'm guessing i'm still feeling the opiates. probably a 10 day pod tea run in late December.

How does this compare to kratom?

some days later: had the chance to try kratom & compare with corydalis. generally, my corydalis dose was 1320 mg, did about 7 mg red kali kratom yesterday in tea form, drank down 3/4 of the powder with the tea since it's super-fine & wouldn't strain out. compared to the kratom, corydalis is very, very subtle. the kratom was exceptional. much stronger in effect. ergo probably far greater addiction potential. corydalis really doesn't ring those bells for me, but it was incredibly helpful in my situation.
duration of effects was similar, about 4 hours, though i might've done better with kratom if i had waited to eat.
