I recently ran across a green 15 mg roxy and the guy said it was IR. I broke it down in some warm water and it seemed to do pretty well and come clean into the syringe but I'd like to know more about these micron filters I'm seeing about on here and why I should use one opposed to the end of a q-tip like I've been doing:\

micron filters help get the pill binders and random dirt out. it doesn't make a huge difference, because pills are a bad thing to inject no matter what, but it is an effective harm reduction measure and is highly recommended.

Yea its basic common sense, the smaller the "holes" in the filter are, the more crap you keep out of your IV solution(even crap you cant see), the more safe it is to inject. And if im not mistaken, a 0.22 microgram micron filter filters out particles that are around 400 times smaller than what a normal piece of cotton would filter out. Now, dont quote me on that number, it was just an educated guess, I could be way off....but my point is.....theres a big difference in using a micron filter and using a simple ball of cotton.

Thanks

As long as I've been shooting you'd think I'd have known about something like this I've always been very clean about it and have never had an infection or anything in fact I don't even have track marks because I don't do it regularly and never use the same area to shoot in to try and minimize damage to my body. I know this is not good for me anyway but hell I did quit smoking..lol so maybe it balances out

Please Note: I have never injected drugs so I am only talking about things that I have read.

I know you can order the wheel filters online, and I have also seen threads where people were willing to sell a few micron filters to people who could not afford to buy a whole box from an online store.

I know one of the threads that I saw was by Captain Heroin and he basically detailed all of the techniques to reduce the harms of IV drug use as much as possible. I also believe CH was offering bacteriostatic water, luer (SP) lock syringes, etc. But please note that I am not sure if he ever started to sell them because the powers that be considered it a bad idea in terms of keeping bluelight up and running.

Also, I just saw a thread within the past few days by a guy who had the wheel filters and was basically trying to decide what the best way to sell small quantities to Bluelighters who cannot afford to buy a whole box at a time.

Also, if you have a needle exchange near you it is possible they might offer wheelfilters as a part of their services to IV drug users.

^that C.H thread can be found in the 'filter your shots' link in my signature and that's where the discussion for safe IV technique should be directed.
