Gravol

I am an addictions nurse, i love my job, and totally get the patients i see.,
however, there are those days that i just don't understand how and why
they use specific things. I found this blogging website investigating my new
issue. I was hooked on bluelight instantly. The discussions on here are
amazing. I tend to have a different approach to treating my patients,
as my best friend is a severe addict, and i know what works well for her as a friend.

So what i am wondering, if there is any relevance at all, is why are some of my current users requesting only brand name gravol and not the generic???:\

I had to look up what gravol was. I know for sure that prescription xanax is better than generic alprazolam. Maybe it's the same for all drugs. The taste is better, somewhat. It's not that much of a difference in purity, but i feel like the companies that make certain generic drugs put more fillers in that name brands.

My guess would be is that they have come to know the drug based on that name through other prescription drug abusers. Therefore rather than even knowing it is actually called Dimenhydrinate they just know it as Gravol and the effects it has. (That is just my assumption as I have seen this behaviour in the drugs I have personal experience in).

I'm glad this website has helped you to understand drug abuse better. Stereotypes make for bad doctoring.

Drug users are a strange lot: some will mention that certain brands are stronger than others; that some work and some don't; that some contain more of the active ingredient than generics and that generics are manufactured with a larger margin of error and are therefore untrustworthy. I've heard a lot of people discuss the "fact" that certain pills work or don't work or are weaker than other brands, and it's all basically a result of the placebo effect, 999 times out of 1000.

However, it's perhaps as madog11 said above: 'Gravol' is a lot easier to swallow than "Dimenhydrinate", which requires a little chewing...
Oh, mercy, what if they're injecting them and that brand is merely easiest to dissolve in water or saline? Oh my!

I love this site, I have found the best information here. The users often have the best
knowledge. I think you guys are right, what one person does here most tend to follow.
Also, does anyone know how and what affect users can get from gabapentin, i have a couple who i think are snorting it, they are also kadian users.
