NEMD Grateful Dead Appreciation Thread

some spring dates announced. i am going to hit up the capitol theatre on 4-23, more because i feel like taking a mini road trip than anything else and it's a cool place to see a show, and i really don't feel like going to atlantic city. although i might anyway, because i'm a sucker.

plus i like the band, ha.

Oh wow a deadhead thread, thats cool! I think Touch of Grey was one of the first video clips I ever saw as a kid, "i will get by, i will survive":

further did a little standing rider in dev last night:D

fuck man feb 24th,2010 was my birthday and furthur was in radio city music hall, NYC

my brand new lover at the time dropped like $200 on pair of tickets from this shady lookin scalper, we took the chance cause we wanted in so bad

of course , counterfeit

realizing there were far too many ticketless people looking for miracles(fuck these people, ruin it for people who have cash but get overlooked), we just booked it and got a hotel in jersey and dropped acid(was her first time, thank god it went well) instead, so my bday had somewhat of a happy ending

sucks though cause the show's setlist was excellent and had rave reviews

won't be seeing furthur on any spring dates, just kind of run my course with them(have seen maybe 12 shows), i just can't stand the music not being loud enough and talkers....small venues are nice....best venues i saw them at were barton hall(was weird, they sold no concessions but had free water jugs all over) and stabler arena at lehigh university, was cool being there cause i'm a fan of the one show the GD played there(9/25/81)

penn's peak in jim thorpe,pa and sherman theatre in stroudsburg, pa were prob best venues, but not prepared for the circus and the sherman show was literally 110 degrees inside, there was no lines at the bathrooms..
jeff chimenti is the best person to play keyboards to GD music and ACE is still the fucking man

i still remember buying the double cassette lol without a net the 2 pack one, i must have played it over hundreds of times. plus one of my parents neighbors turned out was a HUGE dead head with literally thousands of live recorded bootleg shows. he was a total audiophile so the quality was excellent. i finally convinced my parents to let me see them when they were coming to town had tickets and everything and that was the year jerry passed and i never got to see them live. bummed me out.
