NEMD Grateful Dead Appreciation Thread

^ I wasn't speaking directly to you on the Bobby rant, just seems like he gets a very bad rap these days. And Minglewood was performed better during the 80's compared to the 2000s? Well no shit, aging is a bitch? Bob Weir can still put on a great show, despite his talent clearly diminishing.

Where can I get that recording, and others of equal quality? Are they online, or discs?

I love Furthur, believe me. The only one thing I could complain about is their encores. Sugar Magnolia on New Years? Ripple first night of tour? U.s. Blues/Touch of Grey double encore? Satisfaction?

I just feel like they need to be coming back with stronger encores. Like, I wanna see them break my fuckin heart with Wharf Rat or Brokedown Palace or Stella Blue or something moving. Or end with a decent upbeat tune like Good lovin' or Lovelight.

Give me a Werewolves encore...nothing can beat the 10+ minute debut from 4/19/78.

I really doubt they are going to bust out a song for encore that has never been an encore before.

I always liked how ratdog would do a terrapin flyer encore after doing a second set terrapin. I would like to see Furthur do that at the show Im going to see on Saturday :)

Cheers to good LSD and mind blowing psychedelic rock ;)

<3 R.I.P Jerry, you will never be forgotten <3

<3 Jerry.

I would love a day job encore, but again with Furthur what are the chances of something like that?

I am really stoked that they played Reuben and Cerise the other day, I wish I could have seen that.

I was at the Barton Hall and Stabler Arena shows...exactly what I expected...the two best shows I have ever seen. Holy shit at the intensity of the Dew/Sugaree from 2/14! Jeff and Phil both played extremely well. I can't count how many times I was left with goosebumps from Jeff's tickling.

Next stop: 2/22 and 2/24.
