Hello,
I'm gonna make this short.

So I went to bed last night thinking "everythings gonna go great. My grandad is going to costco to get a 350 count bottle of "anti diahrea" and getting clean is gonna be a breeze" i also have 25 gabapentin to get through the first 3 days and that helps the mental aspect of withdrawal.

I woke up and asked if he was ready to go. He said he already went and got the pills I needed (he doesnt know im a dope addict and i use them to get clean" and he handed me absolutely the wrong thing. Instead of a 35 count bottle of loperamide, he handed me two bottles each with 30 Immodium multi symptom relief. I'm not gonna lie.. I wanted to cry a bit. I have 8 days until I get paid and am out of money with a serious heroin habit. I thought hey i can make 60 last and i may be a bit uncomfortable because i planned on taking a lot more.. then i looked at the ingredients and theres another chemical called "simethicone" in there. ALSO they're freaking horse pills.. not the tiny little green ones.

I don't know what to do.. I usually at the least take 40 mg loperamide (20 pills) and i want to know what its gonna be like taking 20 of these with this gas relief chemical.. plus they're horsepills so i dont even know. i went out with my last 2 dollars and bought 24 loperamide 2 mgs and i was thinking i can take 10 of these horse pills and 10 generic loperamide.

Anyone else take these? will it hurt? this is my last option
 
Well the simethicone is the active ingredient in Gas-X, so I don't know if it'll help much but it's not gonna hurt you. I'd mix those with the straight Lope as you can though, I've taken many Gas-X at a time/in a day but I'm not sure how many you'll be taking. Also it's a plus that it's only 80mg simethicone, I usually take the 180mg pills, so even less worries about side effects.

You didn't mention what kind of habit you had but with 84 2mg Lope and the gabapentin you should be able to make it, as long as you weren't shooting a gram/day or something...
 
^ This.. Also go with next time.. Are you trying to kick for good, or just a few days 'til you get some cash? lope works well with the latter.
 
My habit used to be around 2 stamps of nyc shit a day// but this past month its been spiking up to 4 or 5 a day i somehow keep finding ways to get money and it's getting out of control. It's getting to the point where i almost have no hope of getting clean. Everytime I use I regret it and it just makes me sleep and i wake up depressed.

I wasn't taking 84 lope, i'm not sure if that's what you meant. The big question in this is that im used to taking 20 pills (40 mg) of straight loperamide to stave off withdrawals. Now I have these horse pills each containing 125 mg of simethicone. I dontk now if thats harmful to my body or if its gonna make me feel sick.

If I absolutely have to I'll take them though.
 
It might not be safe, I'm not really sure but I've taken large amounts of those pills and didn't get sick or any other side effects other than the ones you normally get from loperamide. I found one report online where someone accidentally overdosed a baby with simethicone and they brought the baby to the ER and they said " ER says that simethicone cant be overdosed on and at worst will cause either a loose stool or a constipation phase."

If you're trying to take 40mg at once I'd see if you can get the 200 count bottles from Costco, it'll make the process easier and you won't have the added anxiety of running out or having a side effect from the simethicone (however unlikely).
 
If you haven't opened both boxes maybe try to exchange it? Could probably do it without a receipt. Just a suggestion
 
Yes, sorry, I forgot to mention that the person who went to pick them up made a big deal about going in the first place and once i got the extra strength immodium horsepills I knew he wasn't going back out plus it has been snowing a shit ton where I live and we're always shut in.

Well, I noticed everybody talks about Costco and the kirkland brand. I went to Sams club today and theres a 350 count equate bottle for $4 and a 400 count for 5.97..

Long story short i now have 800 immodium. WAY more than enough to get clean. Earlier I ate an entire grapefruit, took 2 ranitidine, and thent ook 80mg loperamie (40 pills) It didn't get me high but i was kind of dissapointed because it's been awhile since i took the potentiation shit along with it. I'm not in hard withdrawal but my toes and fingers are restless and i'm kind of shivery and depressed and pissed off but i'm also going cold turkey off cigarettes.

OP, just for future reference, the same happened to me. I was too sick to go to the store so I sent my son and he came back with the ones with the simethicone. I had no choice but to take them and at the time I was so sick I really didnt care. They did not cause me any problems but you are right, they are really big and yucky to take.
 
^ true. It amazes me that you had the courage to swallow those! I didn't throw mine away but i don't think i'll ever be using them.

And, to answer the question, I'm ultimately taking the immodium to stave off withdrawals. I'm pretty much with 2 family members and have been sitting in a living room it's been about 55 hours since my last shot. I'm kind of miserable, so i wouldn't have minded if the loperamide gave me a buzz enough to socialize and sleep. did not me sleep.

I noticed that after i took 40 immodium yesterday i went the entire day feeling muscle aches and chills. I took them at 1 noon and it wasn't until late at night until i felt absolutely normal. I slept a good 8 hours, woke up feeling completely normal. Loperamide is a god send. I plan on rapid tapering.

I took 80 mg yesterday, 60 mg today, i will take 40 tommorow, once i get down to 30 ill start subtract two pills a day until im down to 4, then ill take 4 (8mg) for a week and then ill stop. that's my favorite way to do so.. The only thing is I absolutely HAVE to go somewhere else other than my house to EVER do this. I do it as a way to punish myself, because if i'm at home i'll seriously wake up and find money to hit my dealer up and use. I gotta lock myself in somewhere with family around and pretend i'm not withdrawaling. it's the only way it'll work. Haven't gotten the balls to delete my drug contact yet though.. i usually try to wait until the third or fourth day to do that because i know that ill have 4 clean days under my belt and that im ready to go through with it. Thanks everybody for your input.
 
on a side note... if anybody has ever used loperamide for withdrawal/taper/detox how long did it take for them to start LOOKING a little bit healthier????

When I get here on day one it was an elephant in the room that i was either very anemic or a drug user.. underneath my eyes was red and blue and i looked sick.. i dont look too much healthier but i like to think im starting to maybe get color back in my face.. it's only been 2 days though.. i cant eat heavy food but ive been eating grapefruit, banans, and apples a lot.
 
Sorry, I've never used it myself, I'm just stockpiling the stuff for when I come off bupe. I've heard very mixed reports on it; a lot of people swear by it, and say it practically eliminated WD's. Others are saying it's been of some help; lets just say I'm not expecting miracles.
 
When I used it I got by on a lot less. I waited until I was really sick then took 16mg and was alright, then took another 8mg at night to help with sleep. I find the key with any withdrawal aid is to wait as long as possible to start taking them. The sicker you are the more relief a lower dose should provide you.
 
Always wondered if this would work coming off of bupe??? Like enough to go to work,etc... Not planning to any time soon but for when I do?? It always worked when I was doin oxys(like 75-150mg of oxy or hydro a day,sometimes way more depending on money). But I would take ridiculous dosages, like 72-80 pills at a time,so 144 to 160mg.. It would keep well for a long time actually,kinda blocked the effects of other opiates also,which sucked.
 
I took heed of your story and made sure to tell my brother to pick up 2 bottles of 200-count loperamide from Costco. I've never seen so much loperamide, it's a pretty awesome sight.

I have used immodium multi-symptom relief with good results for w/d, but I don't like how each tablet contains a significant amount of calcium: 165mg, so I don't like taking more than 5 a day, and try to find a pure loperamide product.
