Got shrooms today. alcohol and shrooms

I always have too many scary times, and sober hallucinations, that I don't trust using dissacoiatives or whatever, acid/shrooms/ robo to get me high anymore. I can't even sleep with the lights off, haven't been able to for years.

ANYWHO. I plan on eating a couple, just for the gigles, to get a weed like high. you know, the beginning shroom giggles, because I don't feel like ittl be all that bad, And my girlfriends going to be shrooming for her first time, so I'm gonna give her a little more than an 8th.

I don't know why I'm explaining this, all I wanted to ask about was shrooms and alcohol.

If I have a couple beers, when I've only had like 3 or 4 shrooms, would that be bad?

Would I even be in the mood?

Could it makes things feel sickening? would it not even be worth it?
 
Having a couple beers shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't keep drinking more after that. But I would advise against giving someone more than an 8th of shrooms for their first time. 1 or 2 grams would be much more sensible.
 
what he is giving is fine. Just make sure to be a sensible guide and be careful to mind your own actions around her. A good setting is needed.
Ive gotten pretty good at reading people and what they can handle. As long as you can guide safely and you know the person to be stable any dose is fine. I have guided even first timers on high doses and it has turned out fantastic.

Know yourself know your partner and know when not to push things. Always go safety first and be smart about your actions and the consequences they have on others.

In your case though please dont bother trying to eat shrooms and drink. Diluting the experience isnt the best of ideas especially when guiding a first timer. Your mental state suggests its not a good idea and you might be better off watching her sober. You dont want to go off on a tangent and worry her. If you are scared normally tripping is not the answer. Remember that whatever is going on normally in your head is amplified many times over while tripping. Tread carefully.

Good advice.



Another question, I have a friend who usually eats about 5/8ths to get high, He's still a noobie, just a big guy.

He wants to hallucinate, no matter how nightmarish.

So I was going to help him go the dramamine route, But he;'s had a couple iof glasses of the incredible hulk, he's a little tipsy. But very adament that he can hand;e the 10 chewable dramamine. Usually he can handle shit like this, he could drinka whole bottle of hypnotik and be good enough to handle himself.

Should I b worried?
 
hypnotiq is only 20% alcohol thats 40 proof. a bottle of good rum or whisky can be as much as 50% alcohol or 100 proof.

I could easily drink a bottle of hypnotiq and not be drunk and I dont have a tolerance nor do i drink. a bottle of equal size of something stronger and id be smashed drunk.

Your friend may never hallucinate no matter how much he takes. I myself have tripped hundreds of times over the years on doses far higher than many people can even think about attempting and never once have I seen a true hallucination (by definition: something that you clearly see that is truly not there). I have seen visuals a lot but never a true hallucination. Some peoples brain chemistry is simply not set to see those sorts of things simple as that. no amount of anything is going to change that. Experiencing ego death and travelling to distant realms in your mind is different because it is inside of you and not part of your normal sensory perceptions in terms of the 5 senses.

Your friend is just trying to be a hero but he is setting himself up for the fall. when someone claims they can handle oodles of stuff it doesnt always mean its true. He could very well be diving off the deep end and never returning. If you care about him please dont find him that much. Take only what you need. Trying to impress your friends by taking massive doses of anything is jsut a recipe for self destruction. pills+booze is usually a horrible idea anyways. What you do is your own decision but think of his health and safety and encourage moderation.

If you get your message and hang up the phone but find theres nowhere (as in no physical body) to go back to incorporate it in your existence was it really worth taking the call in the first place? Take care of yours and your friends body. Encourage them to use these drugs as the tools for growth that they are and not for giggles and abuse. Remember that in practicing these ideas the life and mind that you save could very well be your own. Ive damn near lost both life and mind many times and only persist in this world to this day by sheer willpower alone. Spare yourself that and be more careful than I was.

Tripping isnt about seeing pretty lights and hallucinations. its about exploring the inner workings of your consciousness. It can send you to the highest of heavens or to the deepest of hells and everywhere in between. It is the manifested expression of surrendering of consciousness to an alternative outlook. You are not in control. You are on a ride through the depths of an alter reality and mentality and what you see and do could have life altering consequences. As fun as it can be it isnt something to be taken too lightly. It can just as easily give you a psychedelic ass whomping you may never forget.

I once ate 3 grams of mush, and had a ton to drink at a friends party. Half a bottle of sour puss, a few beers and half a bottle of wine with a ton of screwdrivers. I was really hammed, it wasn't the best psychedelic experience
 
I do not like this combo, assuming that's enough alcohol to get you drunk.

Shrooms can be unpleasant as it is and being drunk just makes it worse for me.
 
I hate combining alcohol with shrooms:

-The nausea from both gets worse, that little 'kick' of the liquor reminds you that you feel kinda queasy and before you know it, BLEGHHH. Not fun.
-If you do take enough to trip, you won't enjoy the buzz of the alcohol and if you feel it at all it'll probably numb the experience.
-Alcohol has such a potential, for me at least, to become unpleasant and dysphoric on its own... If those drinks just don't happen to sit too well and you're also tripping balls, it could be a miserable event.


A couple beers is probably no biggie - some people seem to like it to calm their nerves a bit, especially people who drink regularly to begin with - but drinking to get drunk while tripping is a bad idea. Personally, I wouldn't want so much as a sip of booze while shrooming.



I would STRONGLY advise against eating "just a few" mushrooms if you do not want a full on trip. There's no guaranteeing how strong that batch or even those individual mushroom caps will be. There's nothing wrong with preferring lower doses and aiming for them, but if you would be upset if you end up tripping, don't take any. If you just want something like a weed high, why not just smoke some weed instead?
 
I have found that while coming down of mushrooms (or acid) is the only time I've ever wanted to mix alcohol with hallucinogens.
I recently heard about an acquaintance of mine that drank a fair amount of beer and hard liquor, then proceeded to take an 8th of shrooms. From what my friend was telling me he was unable to speak for hours, was brooding in a weird, twisted state and on top of that spent a good portion of the night in front of the toilet.
Personally, those worlds conflict too much. Alcohol closes your mind, while mushrooms attempt to open it.
 
I dunno. I just feel like if your going to do shrooms, you do it for a trip. not just a short 3-4 hour high. That would be a tease id think. Either go all out at eat a quarter or dont do it at all.
 
Enough alcohol to get some mild stimulation and euphoria would probably be fine. Getting drunk is probably a bad idea as the combined nausea from mushrooms and alcohol would be pretty unpleasant, and I find too much alcohol tends to dull any psychedelia one might be experiencing.
 
If it's your girlfriend's first time tripping I would give her a lower dose, no sense in turning her off to all psychs over an intense first trip.

As for yourself, it depends on your tolerance to alcohol. Shrooms can make you feel queasy alone, but add the tipsy-ness of alcohol and you might get a little stomach ache.

But I always like to have a beer or two for the come up just to ease any anxiety I might have/ help me forget about whatever's stressing me out that day before I enter the trip.
