my doctor prescribed me phentermine 37.5mg tablets to help for weight loss..my questions are when should i take the phentermine and is it still useful for weight loss without exercising? also i have prescriptions for oxycodone, hydrocodone, and xanax...my other question is which of these if any should i try avoiding mixing with the phentermine? thanks in advance

You need to exercise. That is the whole purpose of the phentermine. It is to help speed up your metabolism and keep your hunger at bay. It is an amphetamine after all... Your oxy may be making your plans counterproductive. I know for a fact getting high on opiates or a heavy therapeutic dose are not really motivating types of drugs... You are pretty much stationary as far as I can read.

You are going to have to make lifestyle changes. You can't possibly burn off any fat sitting all the time, even with the Addipex... It's a hard switch, but you and you only need to make the change to make you feel better. I hope you reach your goal.

thanks, ive heard of people using it and losing weight without exercising how true is that? and when is it best taken?

Take it in the morning - it's a stimulant drug. Adipex activates the "fight or flight reflex" causing your body to think it's under stress and shift its metabolism over to burning stored energy. In the long run this isn't good for you.

It will aqlso make you feel less hungry. For best results you should try to excercise and eat "normally". It's likely all your lost weight will come back if you're just sitting on your ass chewing on Adipex tabs.

I took it a few years ago and lost a pound a day without doing anything at all. However, after one month I could barely breath. I had to stop and take a break to get up one flight of stairs. And then it seems I hit a plateau with the weight loss anyway after 15 pounds it was hard to lose any more. Once I stopped taking it, it was still a good year before I could breath normally again. I remember dancing at a wedding 6 months after I stopped and I had to take frequent breaks to keep from passing out. But I will also admit that I was barely overweight to being with and it wasn't prescribed to me by a Dr. I weighed 148 at 5'4" and quickly got down to 132 where I stuck. Just be careful and in the long run, losing weight the right way will be more permanent and satisfying as well. I know thats cheesy but it's true.

To me if you are so desperate to lose any weight, a drug is not anywhere near a type of thing I would go for.... This weight will come right back from the constant snacking I know for a fact someone sitting around getting high is doing. (I am one of these people) I can't blame this weight on anyone but myself, and never will on anyone else. I am a skinny fucker, but I feel like shit sometimes about my lifestyle. I know only I can change it, and working on it as we speak.

First and foremost, you need support. Tell your real friends, not junkies who aren't going to give a damn, about you trying to diet and exercise. They will support you as much as anyone can. Hopefully you can turn that into motivation. So go for it. I'm rooting for ya...

No, treat it like Adderall or ephedrine- it's fine to combine with e.g. benzos or opiates but don't get reckless with stimulants.
