Okay so I've been dealing with severe nerve pain, as well as horrible derealization and cognitive impairment and bad anxiety, from gabapentin and benzos. I've been off gabapentin for three months (I only took it for 7 weeks) and benzos for 9 months (took for 4 years). For more details about this, you can check out my "10 weeks off short term gabapentin use" thread.
The nerve pain is sporadic. In the first two months off this stuff, it was really bad and usually coupled with a nonstop rapid heart beat. The rapid heart beat has greatly diminished and I thought the nerve paid had too, until this week when it came back STRONG.
I used tylenol with codeine yesterday to deal with it but that made my derealization worse. I went to my doctor and to my surprise he gave me 90 oxycodone 5mg pills.
So, my questions are...
1) What is the best way to dose this without running the risk of dependency?
2) What routes of administration will give the fastest and strongest results?
3) Will this interfere with my brain's recovery from gabapentin and benzos?
4) The tylenol with codeine worsened my derealization when I took 5 of them (tylenol 3). Do you think that was just a coincidence or do you think it correlates to the high number of pills I took/
5) How long does oxycodone take to kick in and how long does it last?
Thanks Blue Light, you guys are the best!
