I have read many post on how to banging speed and I know that the best places to use are the wrist and inner elbow. I am just wondering if anyone has any views on using the veins on the top of the hand. Are the good to use or are they too small?

Nothing wrong with those at all - have you ever had an IV put in at the hospital? Often they will hit the veins on top of your hand... the downside to this is that if you bruise or mark up (and if yer a newbie it's bound to happen) then you have no way of covering that.. and yeah, trackmarks on your hand are kinda a turn off to your boss, your parents, your teachers, and in rare cases, some girls are actually turned off by needle marks - go figure?
If yer a newbie I recomend the big vein that surfaces on the inside of your wrists.. if in your mind you make a line from your thumb to yer elbow .. if you tie off at about your elbow, make a fist a few times and look in that general area - you should see that monstor pipe pop up.. it's large, so you have a bigger are to work with, its size will also reduce the risk of it collapsing (which you probably couldn't do it you wanted to, but there is ALWAYS a risk) .. same with yer inner-elbow ..

There are some nice veins in your lower leg also. Tie off just below your knee, curl your toes, and pump your ankle a few times. You'll find a big one on the inside of your calf and a bunch of smaller ones down by your foot.

Thankx for the info. You ppl here at BL are an excellent buncj of ppl. You all really know how to help someone out. Thankx again :D

Nothing wrong with it, but I hate using the top of my hand, it tends to stay sore for awhile after a few shots and basically is uncomfortable all around...
Also, I find that with both the top of my hand and my inner wrist I tend to miss a bit more due to the vein rolling around a bit underneath the skin, I can't fucking stand it, those spots are just too much hassle to fuck around with in my opinion...
The massive giant drug hungry veins in your inner elbow, forearm and calf should be more than enough, are MUCH easier to hit (for me at least) and tend to cause less of the residual aching that generally accompanies prolific IV use...

^brainrape, youre right about the vein in youre wrist rolling about, but if you make sure you tie off really, really tightly then it stays put,at least with me it does anyway^.

You can help stop "rolling veins" if you kinda flex yer wrist down pulling the vein tighter, still, the easiest way is when yer going to break the skin, don't go all slow and sissy so as to push the vein aside, instead, with a vein that rolls, kinda "dart" the needle directly into the vein, once in the vein you can move it for the optimal position...

Actually, I don't use a tourniquet at all and I can hit both my hands and wrist (and the rest of me) with minimal problems, it's just a tad bit more effort to hit in and around the hands. Personally I see no reason for that at all since it is so easy to hit much larger and less "sensitive" veins that are also out of public sight, but thanks for the advice anyways...

I usually envy people that dont have to use a tourniquet. If I dont tie off there's no way in hell I'm gonna hit.
Phreex is so right about violently stabbing your target vein. It sounds like bullshit but it is way more effective than going in slowly. It's easier to push the vein off to the side if you go in gently.
uk neuronauticals, how tightly can you tie off? A phlebotimist friend taught me that when you tie off it should just barely be a pinch. Makes sense. YOu dont want the vein to move but at the same time you want blood circulation to continue.

In most cases your not going to need to tie the tourniquet super tight, in fact, its bad for your veins. I found that my veins roll sometimes when the tourniquet is TOO tight. And that if I simply loosen it up a little, the vein is just as easy to hit, but without the roll.

mostly i dont get any problems, but when the the sucker really doesnt want to come out i do have to tie my belt a bit tighter, but as soon as i pierce the vein,i release the pressure slightly and then carry on as normal.
