Hi phouse1025, welcome to Bluelight
I was just going to direct you to our guidelines as well. It's important to read the guidelines for each forum before posting. I know sometimes it is a little unclear and you're new.
The specific guideline which is most relevant to this thread would be:
- NO QUESTIONS RESULTING IN ENDLESS SPECULATIVE DISCUSSION. This is probably the main one affecting your post. The problem with a thread like this is that it will likely just generate speculation, as everyone will have their own preference. It might also encourage people to talk about prices (like if someone says "well where I live fentanyl patches are $xx and Opana is $xx"), and price discussion is disallowed. We also don't know what the usual value or availability of these drugs are in your area.
- In addition, keep in mind that the main goal of this forum is to promote harm reduction by providing accurate drug information, and specific resources for reducing harm from drug use. Whether or not this is a good trade is not exactly a harm reduction or specific drug info question. As it states in our guidelines, we are not here to help you get drugs or get high.
Now if you're wondering what the relative potency is, it's very hard to campare, since the fentanyl is a timed-release patch, whereas if the Opana is the regular kind and not the ER kind, it will be absorbed more or less all around the same time. They are also different routes of administration, one is absorbed through the skin and the other is taken orally. And while they're both opioids, the effects of each drug is different. So whether they are going to be close to "equivalent" is difficult to determine. A 3-day fentanyl patch is going to have a higher potency than a 10mg Opana pill. But whether or not it's a "good trade" is highly subjective. Sorry.
Please keep in mind that these are both very strong and dangerous drugs, especially for someone with a low opioid tolerance so please be cautious
