Good tasting alcohol? Impossible?

i like K cider i dont think you can get it anyware other then the UK but its %8.4 and tastes like nice bitter green apples mmm. liquers usualy taste like crap tho i used to drink vodka stright from the bottle in school now i cant even stand the smell of it! some white wines taste nice with a splash of orange juice but with alcohol you do get what you pay for

you can buy k cider in the US but only the 6.9% alcohol bottled version. it does do a good job disguising the taste of alcohol though.

im not one for drinking all that much, i really prefer smoking buds, as well as shooting dope but that's another story. i hear ya, alcohol does taste pretty nasty for the most part and often times i don't enjoy the high it gives me, however i can enjoy beer every now and then, and if im drinking beer im gonna want to drink a lot of it. my favorite beers are st. paulie girl, blue moon, yeungling, heineken and rolling rock. i recently had parrot bay rum (the clear stuff) mixed with that piña colada juice you can buy at stores and that was really good. i also got some wine from buckingham winery in buckingham, pa a few months ago, it was like a 10 dollar bottle but it was suprisingly good, it tasted like apples. and i also like champagne, which happens to be the only form of alcohol i like mixed with orange juice (amazing tasting, actually). but those are just my opinions.

I drink, but I hate the taste, but my tounge is starting to grow taste buds for it. Everything I tried taste like shit. Except the weak beer/wine, I had some blue wine I cant remember the name (not MD2020). it was pineapple, coconut, mango flavor it taste so good. An I tried a beer I wish I can remember the name ha, But it was ice tea flavored..you can not taste the alcohol at all. any one heard of it?

oh an smirnoff ice is always bomb

the beer you are thinking of is probably the malt beverage, mike's hard iced tea. they also have mike's hard lemonade. haven't had it in a while but i remember liking it. but it's still a pussy drink, same goes for smirnoff ice =D

i like alot of the micro brews like new glauraus and left hand, they generally have a much better flavor than mass market piss water like miller. I also enjoy some good Irish whiskey with a splash of water (mmmm...jamesons).
But it is a acquired taste.

So...the consensus is that alcohol is an acquired taste? Isn't alcohol in its pure form supposed to be tasteless?

I still maintain that a good port would go down like kool-aid at a 10 year olds birthday party, and that none of the kids would notice or mind.

Sidenote: I tried Flying Dog's Horn Dog Barley Wine this evening and goddamn! its good.

some louis the 13th, for $10,000 a bottle or how about some of Thomas Jefferson's private stock of Bordeaux that went for $250,000 haha..of course im joking but cranberry vodka, or a screwdriver is the shit, if your at a bar ask for a tic tac on rocks. dont know what the fuck they put in it but it taste like orange tic tac's the whole time you sip it and fucks you up

A few mojitos or long island ice teas or something, hmmm...

I still prefer beer and good wines over hard liquor, but if you give me a bottle of Smirnoff #21 or #55 Copper Pot Distilled I would drink a few glasses every night, just for the taste. :) I sometimes buy a bottle of Four Roses Bourbon Whiskey or Chivas Regal aged 12 years, maybe even a bottle of William Grant's & sons Scotch Whiskey to get back to my tartan roots ;)

There are so many good mixed drinks out there, you just need to find them. :)

(Lucky me has an entire book dedicated to cocktails so I'm good =D)

Peace o/

600th post!
