Good Clubs to Roll... NYC?

Been out of the scene for 10+ years, and want to give it a try again. Any clubs you recommend for vibe, comfort, scene?
 
because there are none?? lol

i went to school in NY and was looking for the same thing the whole time.. honestly you're better off finding a DJ/live act you like and seeing them.. or just hanging out in a bar or two that you like chatting with good friends. you could also try signing up to the nonsense NYC email list where there are often more DIY type events posted

hmm... I asked because in the 90s, there were SO many clubs w/ good vibes & good people before massive police crackdowns happened. I signed up for nonsense NYC... hopefully there's something there... I hear Rubalad (?) is crazy but gets broken up by coppers almost every time.
 
If u like electronic dance music then check out Santos party house, pacha, cielo, Sullivan room, club love, provacateur, and terminal 5
 
meanred productions has a good newsletter. nonsence always has great stuff. evolver is a solid one to check out for the psychedelic minded explorer

siren festy is happening tmrw. that's gonna be a blast :)

tonight i might go see al-p at webster hall. i always enjoy resident alex english :) someone mentioned pacha which is pretty fun. t5 is fun when they have a solid acts.

vibe isnt the best there but i just love to dance
 
Have you been to Oceania in Coney Island? Revolution 6 is happening tonight. I've never had an amazing time at pacha...
 
ppl love to hate on pacha but its like this... they book the best house/dance gigs in the city, ive smoked a j right on the dance floor 5 feet from the dj before... its pretty cheap if u show up early, and if u got a girl to roll with then it doesnt matter that the place is swarming with guidos who like to take their shirts off

plus they got a pretty decent system and lights, their fog machines are craaazy, atmosphere and club layout is cool, if u wanna go somewhere to hook up dont go to pacha
 
Good recommendations all around, thanks, gang... my main problem is that I just got caught up with my career and my friends have all become these corporate tools. I want to shake things up a bit here.

A trick question: seems like I need to find something on Monday the 26th. Even in the city that never sleeps, probably nothing too good going on? I heard there was just something at Cielo, and that's about it..?
 
TheDanger and the Winkel & Baltick lists are two good ones I forgot to mention. The W&B parties are sometimes on Nonsense but it's always better to play it safe and sign up for both. TheDanger sent out an email for the 31st that looks preetttyyy sweet.

I heard siren festy was good on Saturday, shame I couldn't make it.

Mostly good vibe raves, some massives and a couple outlaws. People who attend are usually pretty cool. Get familiar with the crew who throw the parties so you know what style of music they prefer and what's more your taste. Some, like Tightcrew usually offer a chillout room with light electro and psytrance, even waterbeds ^_^ at their events.

For ANYONE to say there is no active club/X scene in NYC is just asinine, they may have had no luck, but there are PLENTY of amazing clubs etc for you're type of company.

I haven't been in the club scene in a while. However I know that Pacha is a goldmine, but the right people try to stay low-key.

The last time I rolled anywhere in NYC was at a Glamdammit show in the Basement of Webster Hall I believe it was.


My issue is, why do you NEED to goto a candy club? Find some molly, and go wherever the fuck you want to go.

You need to find a club, or you need to find some Molly? If it's the latter all I can say to you.....Get on the LIRR and goto Long Island.
