Good butane for a bho extraction

i used a biro pen's body (you yanks call it a bic pen). as in a ballpoint.
it was plastic, i took out the ink thing, and filled it with powdered herb, and
the nib part that the ink comes out of fit the butane nozzle perfectly!
the other end i just heat sealed up (BEFORE the butane comes into it) and attached a pipe screen to it.
did the extraction into a whiskey glass and ended up with a very very clean end product.
butane doesnt melt plastics as easy as you might think.
oh and i used 0.05g and got a glob of honey oil about the size of my pinky nail.
good advice-
dont scrape it up untill its fully evaporated and dried.
or else u will make a mess that is insanely difficult to pick up.

I just figured since he already told us what he plans on doing with said butane, that would fall under the category of sourcing since we would be helping him do something illegal.

just buy lighter butane from a gas station. Ronson brand is good.

Some good brands i recommend are Vector, Colibri (the 4x refined one, not the 2x) man i cant even think of all of em, there is a shit ton though

Ronson leaves an end product that smells akin to rotten eggs and leaves noticable impurities in the end product
good BHO should have the appearance of Amber glass (of course exact colors can vary), Ronson extracted product will always have a filmy/dingy appearance, will not get glass like, what you see if the impurities in the butane, good BHO will also have a smell very similar to that of the buds themselves, little to no chemicaly smells

RONSON brand butane has additives that (sulphur or something) that allow you to detect leaking butane. (to make a smell)
Use Collibri Brand butane, sold at most tobacconists. Or at least something triple refined.

Watch out using plastic for BHO extraction. PVC is fine as far as I know. I've seen thinner plastic melt. I have no idea how that works but some materials seem to break down easily so be careful. Stick to PVC or metal like Arobskittle suggested. The screw on caps make filtering far more manageable and also allow a primary and secondary filter to be installed so that if you don't feel like ordering butane from an online vendor, you can eliminate most harmful byproduct yourself and safe on those pesky shipping charges
