gone cold turkey with tramadol and suffering

Hi,

I live in a shitty Arab country, where tramadol is prescribed but there was some dealers who sold it and it was fine.

But suddenly the police thought it's a good idea to suddenly raid everyone including dealers and users and put them in jail!

Don't know about dealers but some friends are spending between 1 and 6 months in jail with no treatment or any health care leaving them suffering withdrawals and heavy beating so they tell the names of their other friends who are also tramadol users and dealers.

Well I got lucky and wasn't caught thankfully! my friends are awesome! but I had to suddenly cut 400 MG of daily dosage few days ago before my last dealer disappeared after 8 months (happiest days of my life) of straight usage as it made me workaholic (sometimes I worked 15 hours a day).

Anyway, I am currently suffering from withdrawals, I can't work at all (luckily I am a self employed programmer) and I am totally out of energy and feeling muscle pain and a weird pain in my chest, and lots of other effects and there's no way to get tramadol at all!

I am taking huge amounts of caffeine to fight laziness, but I still can't work, and my mood is really bad (depression), and it keeps getting worse, I sleep more than 14 hours a day, though after 8 months of no sexual activity now I get a boner by just looking at anything!

A friend of mine recommended Lyrica and flu medicine and said it might help, what do you guys think?

I can buy 150 mg Lyrica from any pharmacy without prescription, but it's expensive, do you think it worth a try?!
Dosage?
And is it true that it's better when sniffed rather than swallowed?

And getting a help of a doctor is not an option.

and sorry about the long story ...

Thanks

I feel for you my friend, tramadol withdrawal is a bitch! Flu meds will not help you, but lyrica might. I recommend the following meds and steps to help with the WDs.

  • Diphenhydramine 50-100mg - this will help with anxiety, sleep issues or RLS you may be getting from WD.
  • Promethazine 50-100mg - same as above. (But not both at the same time)
  • Hydroxyzine 50-100mg - same as above. (Not at the same time either)
  • 5-HTP is a herbal supplement that if available to you will help with the depression as it is metabolised into serotonin.
  • Cut down on the caffeine as that will not be helping your brain and body to cope with the WDs.
  • Exercise regularly if you can. This will help your body produce endogenous opioids and conquer some of the WD symptoms.
  • Masturbate. I know it sounds silly, but it helps for a short time, due to the massive endorphin release.
  • Try Kratom (research online if you haven't heard of it). It can be bought online easily and will help the withdrawals a lot.
  • Drink LOTS and lots of water. Keeping hydrated will help a lot also.

I hope these points help you. If I can be of anymore help, just ask. How long are you into the withdrawal now? Tramadol withdrawal can last a lot longer than typical opioids because of atypical activity

If you have access to any other opioids such as codeine, dihydrocodeine or anything stronger, you could use those to taper rather than cold turkey it. Are there any OTC opioids in your country?

I'm trying to suggest as much as I can because I really feel for you.

First off let me just say that the idea of a large group of people getting busted over TRAMADOL is just amazing to me..... its something we hardly even consider recreational in my neck of the woods.

withdrawals however do suck.

Kratom helps wonders and you can order online and have it overnighted.

also MOST countries (not mine) allow sale of Tylenol I II or III OTC, which containts CODIENE.. an opiate.. which will get rid of withdrawal completely

I took your advice and went for jogging, and drank lots of water, I will try to find those drugs you listed, though I don't have high hopes, as I am used to get this answer: "oh this is a controlled medicine! you must visit a doctor first"
but about buying online, it's so risky as everything I receive in the post office will be checked by customs.

Yes, Lyrica can help. Take 300-450mg
yup I bough lyrica, and I took 5 x 150 MG pills lol it relaxed me but I couldn't walk or think properly but it's better than nothing!
and wheneve I close my eyes I see things like fur terrain mostly but sometimes I see other stuff that I can't explain but I found it fun to watch those things that are not generated by my thinking part of my mind!

I am going to visit some pharmacies and find those, thanks.

yeah it took everybody by surprise!
I think this is one of the triggers and this is the result, though being a tramadol user for 8 month, it does not affect thinking! hell I used to program complex games with advanced math and AI while being high better than when I am not!
also I could drive perfectly without any problem, it just make me happy all the time! also I've lost 10 kilos which is healthy!

and about Tylenol, do you mean it one of those: panadol, Actifed, paracetamol?

the best thing for tramadol withdrawal is kratom

however, the withdrawals wont last more than about a week

really my friend a viable option would be otc low dose codeine products .Two at least take the edge of allso try and do some form of physicall activity not only is it a distraction but also it helps release the brains natural opiate like chemicals. Good luck mate

No, they don't sell Tylenol with Codeine #2 o3. Those are Schedule III drugs or similarly scheduled in any country. Tylenol #1 is what is sold in many countries like Codeine because of the low Codeine content and high acetaminophen content which makes it a Schedule V drug and these can be legally sold over the counter.

yeah ive gone through tramadol withdrawals and some effects last up to a month like slight dizziness but for me, i felt ok to function in the world after a week. the first week is very brutal indeed. every minute is like an hour and every hour like a day. bad times.

What people dont relize is that tramadol is some bad shit man. I was using it on and off for years and I always had to use hydrocodone to calm my withdrawls. Sounds silly but the withdrawls from hydrocodone are nothing compaired to the withdrawls of tramadol. How do I know? because I been addicted to both. Tramadol doent make you feel as euophoric but it puts you in a great mood and when you mix it with weed:)

Tramadol withdrawals were nothing for me. I assume everyone is different because I know many people who don't feel too much coming off them but on this site I have read many who go through pretty nasty withdrawals.

mwahahahahahahaha some dude has some tramies and want to share it, I am going full speed to get them, lyrica sucks as it makes me sleep insanely and reduce my ability to think!

lets just hope this dude is not actually working for the police!

I don't understand why cops were raiding Tramadol dealers. Its not even a controlled substance lol I don't know why in the world undercover would be waiting for you. Your friends shouldn't have spent any time in prison.

im a recovering addict and my addiction was tramadol trust me the withdrawls are awful(lyrica hands down was the worse detox ever ur muscles cry in pain)

that damn snri and opiate withdrawl at the same time =sucks

Tramadol is a very potent substance for those whose bodies are geared that way, and resultantly the withdrawal is diametrically as bad as the high.

Actually Tramadol has weak affinity at the mu-receptor. Incredibly less than full agonists like hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc.

Tramadol opioid activity derives from low affinity binding of the parent compound to µ-opioid receptors and higher affinity binding of the M1 metabolite.
