Ok so back to Indonesia.
Would I be breaking the law if I were to purchase diazepam or alprazolam without a prescription in Indonesia? I don't want to know anything more specific than national or state laws and practices.

Once brought weed in Thailand .... The guy who sold it too me informed the police and 10 minutes after I brought it 2 Thai cops in full riot gear halted me and searched the fuck out of me ...
I had hide the weed ... get this ... in my ass crack ....
Never have I shaken so hard .... the cops were frustrated as fuck they checked my shoes and socks even gave me a nut grab :D
I clenched the small bag in my ass crack and shut the fuck up ... never have I been so afraid, pure fear surged through my whole being
After 10 minutes they told me "sorry, just doing our job" and they left ....
I had read about this trick prior in lonely planet and that's why I put it in my ass crack until I got too the hotel ... I thank my lucky stars I was one step ahead of those corrupt low life's.
The next day I got a bus too Cambodia and started smoking pink pills
but that's another story.

but that's another story.Some friends of mine were set up when trying to buy some coke in Spain. Within seconds motorbikes and police swarmed the alleyway and they were all arrested.
At the station the police proceeded to take their shoes, watches money etc etc and then let them go.
As for being urine tested i highly, highly doubt that would happen to you. The chances of them picking you would be like 0.0001%

I doubt you will be pulled out of a line at the airport... if you want to get out of the airport as quickly as possible make sure you have US dollars to pay for your entry visa. I can't remember how much it is.. something like US$25.. but if you have the exact amount you will get through quickly.
I'm not sure about the legality of mushrooms [description of source removed]. Me and some friends bought shakes and got them take-away.. they put the shakes into empty water bottles and gave them to us in a plastic bag and told us to be careful... which leads me to believe they are not entirely legal. Stupidly we went to the beach and drank them and everything was great until we decided to leave and I went to finish off my shake while walking along the footpath... the taste made me vomit so I ran back onto the beach to do it. Meanwhile a group of police had seen me and came over to where I was... as soon as I noticed them all standing around me I ran back to the foothpath and we walked away quickly. Looking back on it I count myself very lucky that I got away with it.

My older brother lived and studied in Indonesia for 6 - 7 months. He was living in a share house in Lombok with 3 other people and was lucky enough that all of the Indonesians he was living with smoked a bit of marijuana which my brother was so thankful for as he loves his weed and is a down to earth surfie hippie........
Not so lucky for one of the young ladies that lived their though was the cops got word some how that a male occupant was in possession of marijuana and they found 0.4 grams of marijuana in the males occupants rooms, however he did not smoke weed and when tested the results were negative for having marijuana in his system... The weed belonged to a young lady that was living their, (aged 23 at the time), she owned up to it, they all tried bribing the lead detective or police officer with all the money they had which was a considerable amount, ($2,000 AUD), but he was one of the ones that wasn't corrupt and didn't take bribes so the lady got sentenced to 15 years in jail!!! Imagine that, 15 years jail for not even 1 joints worth of marijuana....
So be extremely careful while over their because the dealers will set you up and even though some of them may not and you find a legit dealer who's not going to dog you in, you might happen to be being watched by a Police Officer that is not corrupt and doesn't take bribes and that will lengthen your holiday dramatically in a small dirty Indonesian jail which is just how everybody wants to end their holiday! 8)
In saying that though, I was told that it is very rare that a Police Officer will not take a bribe to look the other way and forget what they just saw... A measly $50AUD will usually be sufficient enough for most things as that is apx a months salary to them.
If you enjoy shrooms though they do make a mean milkshake from some of the stalls if your lucky enough to find them and they will rock your world to another dimension, literally hahaha.
Anyways hope you enjoy your time over their and just be extremely careful with everything you do and try to steer clear of drugs all together because it's just not worth it!

That being said, we enjoyed a shake (we weren't allowed to take it away from the place we got it though - it had to be consumed there). Now THAT was one of the best trips of my life :D
