I have two herniated disks, t10 and t12. I have been blacklisted by my local er by kind of bad luck, and they won't give me any narcotics. So I have been going to the nearest towns to get some relief for the pain, but now I am worried about doctor shopping and if I could in trouble with the law for what I have done. I have no health insurance and that is a big part of the problem. Also I have used some of the local urgent care places with an old insurance card and am worried that they will pursue me for theft of services. I need advice on if whether I should not do this anymore, and if I should try to call the places I have been and set up payments. Any advice? And mods, sorry if I put this post in the wrong place.

if you are in truly that much pain with an MRI reading showing this it seems like you would be treated for your pain. are your herniations to the extent that you need a fusion? you do not have a gp or a ortho doc that you are seeing?

i know advice on "doctor shopping" is going to go no where for you here in bluelight.

i can not imagine if you are legit hurting that bad your er will not help you even in the sense of non-narcotic.. if you are simply looking for only narcotic relief with in the system you have already been abusing i would STOP, as it is going to get you no where fast. if you are that down i would go to the er and talk to them and try to form a plan on proper steps in aiding your health and rehab of your back.

remember the story.. .. "the boy who cried wolf".

It's quite obvious this guy is trying to get narcotics to get high, not for the pain.

By the way, same post count haha.
