so i've made the decision to completely overhaul my life with regard to health, productivity, relationships, finances, quitting alcohol... just a complete lifestyle change starting in 2013..

tbh, i've already made up my mind about this and can do it just fine without the use of a psych, but i think the ritual would be nice to help the old me transform into the new..

i've decided either high dose of Lsd ( somewhat experienced but it has been a while), oral dmt (have smoked it a few times, never oral) or ibogaine (no exp.)

i'm leaning towards the ayahuasca at this point as it has a reputation for rebirth, but lsd is up there..

curious about iboga, but it seems it's more useful in breaking addictions..

peace

i'm at your same point somehow.
i'm considering ketamine for this, never experienced it so far tho.
i think i'm doing it within this week or so...

corious to see what other people will reply on this, nice thread :)

For what you're trying to do, I think you should focus more on the symbolism of the ritual than the specific substance. Any psychedelic in a large enough dose will raise a lot of bodily and mental energy, which will then be channelled through the symbolism of your ritual to express the changes you want to make in your life. It's a better idea to stick with substances you're more familiar with than something you haven't tried before, to avoid accidents. I wish you luck. :D

I like mushrooms the best. And Joe Rogan (the guys from "fear factor"), if you've ever heard his podcast, always goes on about how magic mushrooms can change people's lives.

DMT's similar in molecular structure.. so, DMT!

Good luck though. I'm too scared for that.

ibogaine is great but seems to last a very long time. Personally I'd not touch it unless you have someone who can keep an eye on your for a while. Personally, I have found that LSD is a great tool for introspection and such. I've not tried Oral DMT but smoked it only seems to blow my mind into another dimension. I've never been able to meaningfully integrate anything from my experiences with DMT.

Kudos and good luck with the changes you are planning to make.

I would go with ayahuasca, especially if you're making it traditionally, which can be a lot of work, and is a very long ritual. Also, the symbolic purgative (the vomiting) seems like it fits your station in life right now especially well, as you're purging yourself of your bad traits.

Edit: Also, I doubt you'll be blown into outer space by the ayahuasca as you would be with the freebase, it seems to be much more gentle and longer in duration.

iboga is the most dangerous of the 3, and lasts the longest. you may want to save it in case you get addicted to heroin. i would personally take the ayahuasca, but lsd can also be an amazing turning point. my personal turning point was my first mushroom trip.

In b4 it gets closed!

thing with ayahuasca is it doesnt always work! get some dud mimosa or balls up the brew somehow and a 'last trip' turns into hours on the net trying to work out where you went wrong [ and possibly trying again ]

if you look at some other forums you see there are as many 'what went wrong' threads as there are glowing reports....
also speaking from experience

=-]

ya, prob just going to get some crystal dmt and take it with syrian rue instead of going thru the process of making huasca. ideally would make it but don't have the time/ resources..

was mostly a toss up between the L and the D and most likely going with the latter

:)

you could also try pharmahuasca, so you dont have to smoke or brew the rue. harmine shouldnt be too hard to find

If this is going to be a life changing experience, it might be worth the time and effort to do huasca right. That's just my two cents, though.

You can smoke syrian rue extract (or the powdered seeds) during an ayahuasca trip to clarify the visions.
I'd highly recommend it if you're comfortable with the trip at the time. It takes it to a whole new level of "this can not be possible"!
If you have some dmt on hand you can also smoke that 10 minutes later! Go easy on the smoked dmt dose initially, though (duration is greatly increased), and gradually build it up according to taste. You don't even need to 'take' ayahuasca, you could just smoke the two sequentially, with 10 minutes or so in between each. Time perception becomes warped, but you'll definitely feel it when the maoi kicks in.
