Going to Amsterdam

I am going to Amsterdam I have gone so I know they now require you to prove you are a dutch citzen to buy shrooms or weed. I want to try shrooms when I go however I really don't want to get arrested buying the stuff. So my question is can I just walk into the coffee shop and get it? I am over 18, and I really don't wanna buy from a dealer. I bet he probably is a cop, I never do this kind of stuff so I would probably buy from a cop and get arrested haha.
