Okay. So I used to go to a PA at a community health clinic in Seattle. And about a year ago I was hit by a car and messed up m y back pretty friggin bad. Well, she automatically just started prescribing me Methadone for chronic pain. And I didn't even ask for any pain killers. Well, she was only prescribing me 10 mg's twice a day. And then she added another bottle of 5 mg tabs to take twice a day seperate from the 10 mg's, NTE 20 mg's in one day. And I was completely happy with it. I used to be on Methadone Maintenance for Heroin, well its been over a year and a half since I last used Heroin. I'm doing great. Well, I do not know how this is possible, but the Methadone was not showing up in my system. I'm assuming that they were not testing low enough because I was taking an unusually low dose compared to most people. And I do know when they did a blood trough at the methadone clinic to test how fast my body was metabolizing it, and it was in and out of my system completely in 24 hours. And its not like I wasn't taking them, I WAS. So because it wasn't showing up, she kicked me off the pain management program. But she also said I violated the verbal agreement. There was never any agreement. And to be honest, I am quite pissed. Because she threw me into withdrawals and didn't even offer a taper. She is a pretty shitty practitioner to be quite honest. Although I am very thankful that she tapered me off of benzo's, because I kept having massive seizures and my heart stopped numerous times from the withdrawals. But I remember one time when I needed to come in and the appointment I had was not convenient for me, and she was not available when I could come in. But they said I could see one of their other Nurse Practitioners or PA's there. Well, a Nurse Practitioner called me back and told me that she doesn't see my PA's patients, because she can never understand her notes, and is unsure of what to do so she apologized for that but said that she refuses to handle it.

If that doesn't tell you how unprofessional she is, than I do not know what would.

Anyway, long story short. I'm going to see a doctor that offers pain management, among a lot of natural stuff to try. Well, I really want to get back on Methadone or another pain medication because I rarely get any sleep, and I am always in constant pain and everything I have tried has NOT helped. So, because of the fact that I do not want to seem like I'm just drug seeking (because I am absolutely NOT!) how should I go about this? Any information that would be of help would be amazing! Thank you! And also sorry for how long this is...

I'm afraid we aren't here to help you with obtaining schedule II narcotics from your doctor, the legitimacy of your condition is immaterial. The information used to help you, is used by drug addicts to scam doctors, which is why you're experiencing difficulty obtaining your medication.
