I'm planning on making the switch from Suboxone to Kratom in a couple days. It was supposed to be today, and the I would have saved one strip for a rainy day, but giving FedEx screwed up and didn't deliver, so now I've gotta wait until Thursday. I can't get more subs until the early part of next month, so I'm kind of using the Kratom to get me through until my next refill, but I was considering staying on Kratom if I was able to long term.
Has anyone here had success switching from subs to Kratom?
I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit afraid. I'm only taking two milligrams or so a day now, so it's not like I'm on a huge dose, but about two months ago I ran out 11 days early and I used heroin instead, which was cool those days I could get heroin (I only used 1 bag a day), but then by day 6 my guy was out and I was horrible.
I'm a little afraid that Kratom won't take away the withdrawal and I'll be fucked, but at the same time I had used it in the past and liked it fine enough. I used to have a bit of maeng da around for times like these and it didn't seem to do what I wanted it to do, I was trying to sleep and feel normal, it was too stimulating.
I'll be using Bali, which I have 250g of on its way, along with 1g of full spectrum extract and 10g of Ultra Red Indo which supposedly contains 2 percent mitragynine. In excited to give the URI a go, as 2 percent is quite high, much higher than standard leaves (1 percent is quite good) and certainly not outside possibility. I would just hope that higher mitragynine also means more of the 7-OH-M.
Can anyone share their story about how you made this transition, did it work? I've read about people who have made this transition, but they never say how they did it, how much they took and how it felt for them. Those are the things I'd like to know.
I have read that the extracts are useless and also that they're the real pathway to addiction to the plant. I would imagine that if it didn't taste so horrible their would be more addiction to it, so perhaps even if the extracts do not offer the same dollars:dose ratio plain leaf does, they offer other advantages that make them more worthwhile?
What would you recommend? Should I use the extracts first or save them for when the sub withdrawal gets too bad?
Will Kratom cover my withdrawals more or less completely? I have an important job which requires me to work long hours and I'm constantly on my feet moving around (I run a line in a plant), so I can't afford to be getting sick. Fortunately with the holidays here we've got a number of days off. Fingers crossed!
