Jesus did not come to serve himself, but others---to serve mankind. He came to earth as lamb but also as a shepard/guide.

" 16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last."
( Matthew 20)

You should try ( by try i mean succeed) humble yourself.
The harder this is for you, the bigger the reward when you accomplish....
even if the reward is the same for those who do it with ease.
Hard lesson I've been blessed to learn.
Thankfully I've been given time to learn it.
 
There is this really good restaurant that I go to where the waiter shrugs his shoulders when you ask about the specials, expects you to read the complex wine list and simply know what to order with dinner and rolls their eyes when you explain your partner is gluten free ask if they can recommend any options.

I wouldn't tip God either.

I am not waiting for anything or anyone to serve me, I just find it a pretty absurd notion that an all powerful being has such a strong desire to serve mankind yet we have all the death, disease, poverty and war that we do. You would think if there was a single being who created the Universe and life as we know it that was so concerned with serving mankind they would do a lot more to intervene in the fucked up situations on Earth.

I don't know what humbling ones self has to do with any of that, I guess maybe all those starving kids in Africa just aren't humble enough for God to serve them?

First, you should be a "good" person because you believe being good/righteous is what is just. The reward is not necessarily for you. The reward for doing good is for others. However thru grace, you recieve a reward that strenghtens your faith.

And if you do good just to be seen ( -selfishness)
it is written you have recieved your reward.

again, you can claim you have no idea what is just, but good luck arguing that at your judgment.
BY condemming evil you are proving you know what is just.

Having said that, knowing what is good is not what "get you in" heaven

Faith which I/bible speaks of is recieved from God as a gift. And is one of the most misunderstood things of the bible. The bible tells us we are all given a measure of faith. It is not our doing "so no man may boast". (Corinthians 1)
What you do with your faith is up to you.
Faith grows/is strengthened through obedience to what is good/just.

Ah, why is there evil in the world if God exists?
is this not basically what you are getting at?
You have to understand we are all going to die an earthly death. Whether it is starvation or old age,
we all pay for the wages of sin.
What you do with this knowledge is key.
God is just, and you will be judged according to what you were given. A starving child is not given as much as me or you, however on judgement day we may very well wish we were that starving child.

Lastly,
Have you done anything to help those starving?
Im not judging, just asking you to ask yourself.
What about other injustices in the world?
Do you have the humality/humbleness to do something about others suffering?

"Blessed are the meek, (humble)
for they will inherit the earth" (Matthew 5)

"All of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is a seperate and necessary part of it."
(1 Corinthians 12)
That is if you want to be apart of his "body".

How does an all loving, omniscient god fit in with condemnation to eternal suffering?

Those quotes are nice an all methamatic but there are many other reasons you will be sent to hell..

If you're going to try and point out the "flaws" in the Bible---you might want to read it first.

The answer you seek can be found in John Chapter 3.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.

God does not condemn you to eternal suffering. Eternal suffering is eternal separation from God, and if you are not baptized in the spirit, you cannot be with God who is of the spirit, as flesh is the flesh and the spirit is the spirit.

I'm not talking about the eternal suffering in hell.. once dead.. which many things seem to buy you a ticket to.

But from your interpretation of that verse.. everybody who has not been baptized is suffering / will be suffering?

Really? What is the meaning of a baptism? Why does god care for such petty things?

Do you care to elaborate? I don't see why baptism is "petty".

Correct. Because we have yet to elect a God and have him or her serve us.

That is how it works. If we do not seek or find a God then we cannot demand anything of God.

Those that do seek and find God think he is doing a good job. I do.
