Glass Syringe

Hay guise.

I have a bit of extra cash and I'm thinking about splurging on a sweet rig. You know, pulp fiction style glass syringe. As much as I'd like to put a bunch of 6 guage holes in my arm every day, I really don't want to get an antique. I did a bit of looking around, and this is what I came up with.

I really like the look of this one:

And as for the tips, I was thinking about using this website to get the tips (the 30 guage BD tips):

Now, I really only have two questions:

1. Does the first website that sells the rigs sell to individuals?

2. Are all luer-locks the same? Does it matter that the syringe is made by Popper and the tips are made by BD? Are the tips going to fit the rig?


Sorry if this is an amateur question... I just really want a cool rig!
 
I thought luer lock were all one size, and it was somewhere around 26. I am not sure to be honest. <-- This is wrong, I am updating this post: luer lock needle tips have many different gauge and lengths available; I have seen anywhere from a 18g to 33g tips; typically 1" for the larger gauges, and 1/2" in length for the smaller ones. The largest gauge needle tips can be 1 and 1/2" in length as well. Terumo also makes a 25G 5/8" tip.

You'd have to ask the website if they'll sell to you.

The "coolest rig" I settle for are sterile, clean, new disposable syringes every time. I wouldn't bother with a glass one you have to clean every time - that's just me.

I hope you succeed with your endeavors, I think someone might be able to help you out here.

They need to invent a sterile re-useable rig with a never dulling tip... something like a substance like teflon-esque inside of barrel where nothing stays inside (or a reverse Van der Waals force of some sort based on the material inside) and on the molecular level everything slides out, or a lighter-than-water solution cartridge like the waterless urinals use that can be replaced so there there are no bacteria microbes, residue, remnant chemical etc. Where the needle itself is diamond-tip nanrods or such, that could never dull and be good for a lifetime use. That would be the ultimate personal rig and be good in that replacement and needle exchanges would never be needed.
 
awesome question! i've wanted to look into this for a while as well. sometimes, 1cc just isn't enough for my endeavors :/ and the one from pulp fiction is definately bad ass!

I don't know what some of you all shoot, but 1cc has always been way too much volume for my needs. Even if you're trying to combine 2 substances in a shot, I would only need < 30 units for such a thing, and would still prefer 1/2 CC syringes. However, 1CC are still usable, even when you're using less than 20 units of it on average.
 
why on earth would anyone bother with such a thing?

I'd keep it in a little case just like John Travolta %)

If its something your bound determinded you want then by all means for for it, but I've gotta agree with captin H. You'd be better off using that money, and buying a bunch of new sterile plastic ones.

I read somewhere recently that the more dilute your shot is the less damage to the veins. I use a 1cc for one shot and it's almost full of sterile water + dope of course.

I also always use a clean new rig every time and that has saved me from having any track marks. Plus alcohol wipes before and after, filtering and ointment and u couldn't tell I inject and I only inject into the upper part of hands as I can't find other veins.

I think a glass syringe might work thou. If u only use it yourself of course and sterilize and boil it in sterile water every time and of course use a new tip every time. It sounds eco friendly. Think about the amount of syringe waste that would save if every junky did that. I like eco-friendly if it is just as safe and effective as disposable stuff. That's the only plus I see with the glass syringe. Who cares about style....ur a junky after all, can't get less stylish than that if u ask me.

What do u think would be the problem with the glass syringe if it was sterilized each time and a new tip was used?

I'd probably invest in it myself but a 20 bag lasts me like a year with the amount I inject.

im not proud that i use IV drugs, but it feels so good...
buy dope, not a damn syringe. get a bad ass spoon that you could play off as somthing else if someone you didnt want to see it saw it.

That is awesome=D; I was thinking the same thing... You would undoubtedly be the most hip IV'er on the block...

Just make sure to be on point with maintenence/sterilization.

I've always needled atleast 50 units for a shot so I just used 1cc rigs because it was so much easier to use. I feel like I'm wasting some of the drug if I don't use larger amounts of water.
 
i agree with the other people - you are just asking for something yucky to take up residence in the syringe and how many tips are you going to have to get? because i used to be a piercer and even the SS start to get dull after a few uses... and you have to get new ones - this is going to take up a lot of your time boiling it or getting an auto-clave for it and it will be obvious that you are a junky and i think you are much better off getting a bunch of disposable very sharp very fine pointed syringes and using those and using a new one each time... ;) also i found a very big difference in track marks between 28 and 29 gauge!!!

There's another person that has to use more than a 1/2 cc rig CH.

I believe it's completely up to the person but you are sounding like a person should never need more than a 1/2 cc rig when that is horribly wrong.

Everyone is different man.
 
IMO if you are that concerned with what your syringe looks like you are in way too far over your head but in a different direction than most people; although i do lust after the looks of those old looking glass syringes but they are not practical :D
 
Can anyone say possession of drug paraphernalia? Having a syringe like that and keeping it in a nice little box seems very stupid if you are a daily IV user. I could understand if you hardly ever used IV and wanted something nice like that.
