glass slide replacement??

well ive got a water pipe i enjoy smoking from and every few months it seems like, my slide somehow cracks or breaks. now i live out in the sticks and the nearest head shop is 20 miles away and their prices are outrageous and they have very cheap stuff (it breaks way to easily).

do any of you veteran cannabis users know of any reputable, us vendors who sell good, detailed water pipe slides for a reasonable price? if i can find a good place id order a few, and have some backups on hand but all im finding through google search is expensive ones that are like artsy, or the cheap ones with the little handle coming off the funnel shaped bowl. im looking for a nice thick stemmed slide, preferably 14-18mm that will hold at least half a gram. thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction!
 
i break slides all the time...female and male peices...i just go back to the shop i bought it from...seems like its not an option for your....but if it somehow is...then i would do that even if its mad far away....
 
I used a test tube from my science class in high school once. Still not sure how it worked so good

actually that was only for the downstem, I had a normal slider that fit into the test tube snugly
 
^yea i actually have an 18mm test tube for my female stem, im using a glass hydrator from my vaporizer. i just need to find a place online to order them from so i can afford to go through em, and still enjoy some craftsmanship.

^and to the wannabe mod accusing me of sourcing paraphenalia....i am a LEGAL medical marijuana patient, and there is nothing illegal or illicit about my post.

thanks for the tips, at this point i guess ill just keep checking around online.
 
or you could do what i did, get a tube with no slide :). however i still smash bowls like its my job haha

Just because I don't want you risking the site by turning it into a sourcery discussion doesn't mean I'm a "wannabe mod", dude. It just means that I think this site serves a greater purpose than providing a way for others to find you a fucking downstem that you're too lazy to drive 30 minutes to go buy.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's not sourcing, dude. Otherwise, we'd be crawling with RC source threads. Where the fuck are those, the threads that should be allowed because they're not illicit substances?

it would be awesome if they made slides as strong as they do all other glassware. with all these new advancements in modern technology, it seems by now they would have figured out an affordable way to make pyrex stems.

and venrak, its cool, id be uptight too if i lived in canada

To OP, read the rules. This is the only time you'll get a warning from me without me using the infraction system. A two second look at the HUGE bold rule at the TOP of the guidelines post would have saved you looking like an illiterate. Thanks
