all i have to say is:
everybody in the *Scene* always goes on about how they are in it because you can be yourself and be individual and you don't have to worry about having the *cool* look or acting a certain way, because nobody cares.
well so far in this thread all i've seen is people hanging shit on the way other people dress and act.
so much for no-one giving a fuck and it being ok to be individual.
i hate to say it but i don't think any of you GUYS are perfect so until you are, can you me a favour and shut the fuck up.

OK i get the leg warmer thing although I have never seen it... but what about the skirt over pants thing?? does that have a use or does it just double you washing ?

well the skirt over the pants thingy started when the younger chikies used to go out and their parents didnt let them wear short skirts, so what they did was wear pants underneath the skirts and eventually they would go out and take the pants off, or both.

actually it was prolly started because of girls who had the "fat ass" complex so they wore skirts over the top of tight pants to cover their asses.
i guess its better than tying a jumper around their waist.

leg warmers are just that - LEG WARMERS. why do u not diss those Jane Fonda types fresh from their gym workouts, wearing (*gasp*) leg warmers? sure, they are of a different textile, but they still serve the same purpose.
i dont wear leg warmers but i think they look good, besides being useful as well. and yes, girls take pride in their appearance, and arent afraid to acknowledge that we are vain creatures.
as for the skirt over pants thing, i do that myself too. this way of dressing is known as LAYERING. it is especially useful for climates like ours, where it can get cold and windy even during summer. and its better than 1 single thick piece of clothing, bcos when u think its kinda warm, u can easily take either the skirt or pants off.

and i like the way it looks.

And on the leg-warmer thing? TC raises a good point about keeping legs warm when walking around outside. Fair enough - at an outdoor party. But at a club? *shrug*

i'm am from Syd so this whole "candy raver" thing is a new concept and from where i'm from its considered a little far out and well at times a little strange.
in Sydney you don't need to dress up like they do down here in their uniforms, so forgive for passing judgement.
