Girlfiend against occasional benzo use

i have a little dilemma. my girl found my stash of benzos and flushed them down the toilet. i dont mind that because she didnt know i had those and was really disapointed i was hiding it. I'm afraid you got caught up with someone (been there) who is a weed elitist. There are a lot of weed people who think their drug of choice is the only excuse for taking a drug, because it's a plant. They are really annoying, because they are arrogant and dismissive to other drug users including alcohol users. They are hypocrites, because it's all a drug no matter what your choice. Sure, you might not die, but I've been involved with weed users who are totally addicted and can't get through a day without smoking. Without it, they are just as bad as other drug users and addicts and they will spend hundreds a week on it.

It's up to you if it's worth keeping the relationship, but I would be seriously pissed off considering the cost and the hypocrisy of it all. I think it's dumb to break up over drugs, but it would really grind at my nerves over the hypocrisy.
 
Seems like she's simple minded, weed is fine every day because it isn't chemical.. but you cannot use a benzo once in a while because it is a nasty chemical. Tell her to eat a dick imo

this, weed elitism is shit. i used to have it and i dont any more. looking back you realise you were being a dick.

i still think the op should ditch her and keep her stash as penance for throwing away drugs which to me is a cardinal waste and frankly disgusts me. so what if it creates drama, since when has splitting up been drama free? this way you have a strong reason to maintain a clean cauterised break.
 
I definitely understand the "don't cause drama," but damn I'd be so freakin angry that someone would destroy my property just because she thought her drug was better than mine and she didn't agree with my choices. I think my rage would take over, and her weed would get thrown away or smoked before she got any. :D Maybe I'd give it away instead of flushing it. :D
 
Fair point but you can go past this in the future...no need to add to the bullshit. Seriously, it's petty and we're above it - it might get a message across, but it could also crash&burn and fall on deaf angry irrational ears...sentiments lost, and bridges burn, and moral superiority potential wasted.

hahaha hellz yeah... It's only drugs after all though - just let go, it's only "stuff" it doesn't really mean anything. If it was money that would be a different story (potential food) but anything else...well fuck it.
 
^ But some would argue that substances are even better than paper money because they retain their value even in hardship... so really, drugs can be potential food as well if you plan to sell them.

Jus' saying... ;)
