My 21st? Pint of voddy, 50mg of valium, 2gs of paste, three roofies....woke up 3 days later in Antwerp with two whores, a brick of coke and a dwarf rolling spliffs for us.
 
did anybody else get the notion that it would be nice to make your mother a cake for mothers day. and to add to the twee wholesome image, that you and your partner would bake together.

don't fucking do that.

we had all the emotions, many before midday. we made two cakes as we each picked one our mum would like. both were disasters. tasted ok but fuck me stirring custard over a pan of boiling water for over an hour for literally nothing to happen was the pits. i nearly had an autistic meltdown cos we hadn't soaked the poppyseeds in milk overnight.

i'm actually quite a good baker. this is all my boyfs fault, he picked a complicated recipe and used every fucking bowl in the house before i'd even got downstairs. we are never baking together again but i think the mums appreciated the effort.

oh and classic dad just invited himself on fucking mothers day.

i spent my 21st having just discharged myself from a psych crisis unit that fucking tortured me and waiting for a place in a residential eating disorder facility stressing the fuck out about having to performatively eat cake. 0/10 would not repeat.
 
In Town when I see people wearing this "Hoodrich" stuff my mind thinks "Hoodrich huh, more like you scammed an extra months Benefits."

well done!! your getting fewer calories from booze, i always get hungry when i cut down/stop.

consider yourself lucky mate i gained at least 5 stone in the first 2 years of recovery. 1.5 in the first few weeks of rehab, i probably needed them i was looking a bit spoopy when i went in you could see all my ribs down the front of my chest, but def didn't need at least 3 of the ones i gained. lost two of em so i'm not quite so much of a fat fuck any more.
 
So Happy right now.

An anthropologist I know well who's just back from Mexico doing fieldwork on a Zapotec speaking Witch she knows did some work for me at the main Witches Shrine & since that day I've been finding weed nearly every day (several weeks worth now) & I just got my best find to date. It was just sitting on the wall & I smelt it way before I saw it.

I love Mexican Witches so much <3

If anyone is Catholic she used a Novena Candle for me with some added "Witch" stuff & left it to burn for the said amounts of days & nights.

there is no such thing as a post doctoral degree.

unless you get another degree after already getting your phd, someone on my phd was on his second phd, so that would count as a post doctoral doctorate i guess. but there isn't a higher degree atfer phd.

a post doc is a term for someone who has proven that they are capable of independent research in a field (by getting a doctorate) but is not yet ready to run their own lab. they are slightly higher paid than phd students but on shorter contracts. basically its a monumentally shit job for a supposedly intelligent person to be doing. i say this as someone who has done 2 post docs lol.

once you are at doctoral/post doc level, the institution doesn't matter as much. its the research output of the group you are in that determines prestige. usually well endowed big name universities have good research groups, but they may not be among the best in their country, let alone as globally prestigious as their institution.

All I know is her name is Doctor K........ & she has loads of letters after her name.
She has published papers & is working on two books for Oxford Uni to publish.

She also runs the whole anthropology department for a top University.
