^ Imo, it would be a bad idea. I know when I was in psychotic states summat like that could easily have sent me stabby one way or t'other. One of those things that sounds like a laugh, should be a laugh, but could easily end up a bloody mess 
Very much depends on where you live I'd say. Was years (well over a decade) before pain specialists were even mentioned as an option to me. Even when they were it took months for an initial appointment and a couple years before any type of decision was made beyond the opiates + benzos scripts my GP has been dishing out since my late teens. Turned out mindfulness was the answer... apparently. Obviously it wasn't but seems to be the way the NHS is going these days - no consequence for the service, no use for the patient. Gotta

Personally I'm a big believer in a little of what you fancy does you good. I function just fine when opiated. I barely function at all when not opiated. I function extremely well in very broken ways when over-opiated. I suspect this applies to many.

I?ve made this point before, you will be referred to a pain management specialist within four weeks (usually much sooner)
