RIGHT off bl and back to clearing this fkin work backlog...why I took the lisdex in the first place

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all who come under that umbrella!!!

Personally I was lavishly gifted by (amongst other things) a bottle of Old Pulteney whisky, a bottle of Roku gin and - definitely the best imo - a father/daughter day learning to bake quality sourdough bread that the best bakery in town is putting on. Canโ€™t wait!!!

Definitely overgiftedโ€ฆ but not complaining =D

Not bad! I need a baking day really, I have a long and distinguished career of total baking disasters

I'm not much of a Father's day fan tbh but I did get some flowers and a a few grams of some exceptional quality bona fide charas, yum. Oh, and a homemade actually really lovely and quite gushy card they collaborated on with some cool family photos printed in. I'm not a fan of cards either but I'll make an exception for that one (how charitable of me)

Sounds good to me! (Especially the charas ;)) Card also sounds really sweet โค๏ธ

I was never a fan of Fatherโ€™s Day - was barely even a thing when I was a kid - but since becoming a (step-)father in my lateish middle age (when Iโ€™d frankly given up on fatherhood) Iโ€™ve developed a real fondness for it. Weโ€™re a close family so it actually feels genuine - more than just a Hallmark Holiday.

I know something of your past so that's really great to hear - my fam's a bit of a love-in too, am totally blessed in that way

what ya studying and at what level?

pm if you'd prefer to not broadcast, or tell me to just mind my own
Just medical studies.

I don't like to share too many personal deets in public spaces. Im a bit of a private person. Personality shines through most days but the intricacies are usually buried.

One step closer this year than last though. Still a lifetime to go xx

Hotter than Hell today.
I seen 2 people in full on Wool-esque Tracksuit tops & bottoms, I nearly passed out on their behalf.

I was stuck with only a Black t-shirt to wear yesterday in the middle of the Day heat, I nearly died, thank God for washing machines & an Ironing Board so I can rock the lightweight Cotton white clothing today.

no idea how you, as dyspraxic person, can wear white! (I doubt it would be white for longer than half an hour on me)

it is funny as fuck watching melts melt inside warm clothing on a hot day though agreed, wonder if this is a british thing in particular

We are Brothers in the School of checking your Left & Right, having to think in a weird way how to move objects etc.
The only "drug" that ever gave me a break from the constant mental gymnastics I have to do all the time was the original MXE, that stuff set me Free & I could move & function like a normal Human.

I think it must be, we English are North-Western Europe folks, we aren't used to this stuff called Sun & people go mad after a few days on it.
I am sure it's also an "English" thing for Males to wear nothing but shorts & Fake Nike trainers when they walk around Town & usually have one of those "Man Bags / council Estate Road Man bags slung across their Chest, this should be punishable by death.

....for sure man...and combined with the other neurodiverse 'conditions' I apparently 'have' it's a daily aaaaggghhhhhh

lsd spectacularly wipes out all dyspraxia for a good 12 hours ime - my spatial awareness and sense of balance is amazing when tripping, like next-level. I remember last trip I was balancing glasses of water on my knee while lying down in an odd position and was fully aware that there was no possibility whatsoever of even a drop spillage or a mm of glass-wobble. The sheer preciseness of it, total flow-state.

My offspring are all the same the different degrees too (although v different in other areas). One of 'em took a driving test recently and, I'm sure everyone will fel safer on the roads when ya hear this....had to subtly make the 'L' shape with her left hand to suss out which direction examiner required her to turn....

I had no idea Down's syndrome was classed as a neurodiverse condition, we live & learn.

Same thing when I was on MXE, it's so odd to read this post as finally someone KNOWS what the Hell I am on about.

Yeah that's me on a daily basis, is this "condition" passed on to any kids we have?
