Isn't today wonderful? Like just the fucking best?

Good things that happened today:
Finished a Law assignment
House is clean
Fresh bed sheets smell fantastic
Coffee

Bad things that happened today:
Got a flat tyre. In the rain. Not even mad though cause fuck you world, I can change my own damn tyre and FEEL THE RAIN AGAINST MY FACE! So suck it, try and bring me down!

Things to do tomorrow:
Buy a new tyre.
Probably get the housemate to change it cause I don't feel 100% competent with my tyre changing abilities.

I've been lying in the bath for over 90 minutes now because all I have to do today are chores like doing washing and changing bedding and food shopping and house cleaning and camping stuff packing and resignation letter writing :(

I had a pretty fun weekend, didn't get upto much as the temperature / humidity are both still crazy. I had quite a bit to do today but I was drinking vodka monster last night so woke up feeling pretty rough :D.

Pie baking pressure is eased sightly, as she is -- as I suspected -- still too poorly to be going out for dinner, especially involving a long-ish bike ride across town and then back again on a full stomach. But -- there's always a but -- I had already got the ingredients in, and so have arranged to deliver their rightful share of the spoils to them tomorrow (better late than never). Now I have already prepared the filling, I just need to roll out the pastry; bake the base blind; fill; cover; and finish off baking it. No part of that sounds at all daunting.

In other news, I scored my sister and BIL's anniversary card and his birthday card, and also indulged in a little light retail therapy.

Hey goldilocks, give Charlie a clap from me, please. :) Great news.

We're just back from my cousin's family get-together/mini festival she held to raise money for McMillan, at her huge house in the country. It was fucking crazy & brilliant, about 60 people there, three gazeboes, bouncy castle, live music (her husband is in a band), trampoline, kids everywhere. We camped in the garden (alongside two other tents), and I got to see a bunch of family I (stupidly) haven't seen for nearly 5 years.

We are both sunburnt and hungover, but very happy. It was great. %)

Sounds like a good day out felix, I have spent all day lazily cooking and procrastinating. And booking my car in to get the exhaust welded because it's fucked :!
 
Well, getting it welded is better than having to replace it, I suppose...

Aye, it was indeed an amazing couple of days. My brother (cletus on BL) passed out blind drunk in the dog's basket next to the dance floor (patio) at one point, and had to be manhandled to bed by about 5 people. I wish I had a photograph of that. ;) And I joined my wife, sister in law, and random kiddies on the trampoline in the pitch dark, in the pishing rain last night for a while. Absolute drunken mayhem everywhere. Lots of sore heads today. :D

I think my cousin raised about £500 for McMillan too (and counting).

Edit: 2 hour work conference got cancelled so running around the house, going bonkers. So much spare time for activities!
