Gibberings episode 0x000000c7(?) -- Party like it's 199!

(Did I just accidentally discover the "random real-time" conversation thread?)

hello from Aus! It's 2.30am, very cold, and I'm chilling on the roof.

/wave

Thankfully now we have the "bag ban" in S / I & W - do you have it in E yet?... It is becoming more socially acceptable to bring your own preferred designer carrier to work...for those blue plastic bags moments 8)

lol =D

Cuddles are for sofa movie dates, or sleeping.

Star gazing on the roof is -me- time, where no one can disturb me. (mostly due to their inability to climb water pipes).

Don, if I lived near a mountain I would be there in a heartbeat! Alas, a blanket on cold tiles will have to do ^.^

I only wish said mountain wasn't 15 miles away. It has been a great incentive to get my driving licence sorted though!

Yes! The freedom you will get when you get your licence will be amazing. Though the first thing I did when I got mine was to go through a maccas drive-thru

Have you been camping up there? Or just visiting?

I go camping up there the odd time but recently my friend has been driving me up just before sunset so we can set up the telescope. Depending on work hours and sky conditions, we usually stay until the sun starts rising. We're very patient but, even when we don't get the best conditions, the view is always worth it. It's perched right over the North Atlantic coast :)

I'd love to visit your hemisphere to learn the southern sky.

It's usually just us two because when other people come up, they tend start gurning to go home after a couple of hours. Part-timers :p

Haha!

People are aways in a rush these days!

We get the milk-way dashing across our skies. No need for a telescope! I assume it would have been warm weather and clear skies for you? Here it's mostly windy, with a sneeze of rain every half hour.

the bottom is getting sore though so will be jumping down soon ^.^

I am on the very north coast of Ireland so warmth isn't often seen. Our average temperature this July was something like 13.6C.

When you say jumping down, I hope you mean climbing down very carefully?

..suddenly I'm not going to complain of the weather here anymore

Jumping down is the easy bit! Aim for the grass, and when I hit earth, I let my bodies reflex decide if I'm gonna just bend the legs, or let my body do a barrel roll.

If you're not used to jumping/falling off things, I can see how sliding down the water pipe might be a more comfortable option ^.^

Well now, who was that Claudia person? I hope she comes back. :)

I have a can of this stuff:

I want to spray everything with it. Especially my Honda CR-V clutch pedal. I've just done the toilet seat with it. What's next?
