Tragic coincidence? He blacked out from booze and drugs then got caught by the police running around the neighbourhood. I'm sure he was being chased for a reason, it's just the drug induced amnesia means he will never know. Not failing to mention driving +20mph in a residential area whilst unlicensed in an unroadworthy worthy car that he admits should have been dealt with 5 months earlier. Sure it is bad timing to cop this all within 24 hrs but to say he had no role in his own misfortune is stretching it a tad.

knock - trespassing is not a criminal offence, in of itself. that will be cleared up by an explanation (and i mean full, al-lad and all), your previous lack of theft convictions (im assuming) and a few bank statements. it'll be obvious you werent looking to thieve. if you really want to impress the magistrate, express regret for your 'drug problem' and state your intentions to get help (making a single booking for drug counselling is the best way) not only do magistrates lap this shit up - they actually HAVE to give you credit for it in their judgement


the second one isnt so easy, im not particularly au fait with driving offences. but your best bet is to tell the truth, painstakingly. write down timelines, get your insurance history - show that youre not a habitual dodger. get RAC to put in writing when you were first informed of not being covered. if you go to court, make sure you have a load of character statements - any professional person that has something good to say about you. they work, trust me

I don't know about knock's patience but if I, personally, relayed the story of how I got arrested and then harassed throughout the remainder of the next day because of yet another accident, both situations not my own fault (the only thing he "did wrong" in this story was fail to read a letter delivered who knows when), and someone called me a plum, gave me a condescending "bit of advice" that implied that had been the source of all my troubles, followed by a "good luck" completely devoid of empathy or even a grasp of what had actually happened, I'd belt said person in the face, be they man, woman, child, elderly or disabled.
Said person must clearly never have experienced falling foul of the law by pure tragic coincidence.

Thanks BHM, fortunately there are no magistrates in Scotland and trespassing is most certainly NOT an offence. I think that will be dropped. I have Scotlands top lady lawyer on my case and she specialises in criminal insanity cases, she defends paedos etc so I'm sure I will be an easy option
