It arrived today from china. 7quid. I shined it through the house opposite mine like a naughty semi-retarded shool-boy. Then quickly re-closed my curtains. Sad or what? Rhetorical question btw.

I shop lifted for a year while at uni :/ I wouldn't say I'm proud of it. Tescos suffered massive losses I'm sure though!

haha. be careful with the cheap chinese green ones, sometimes they can leak an awful amount of infrared laser light that can damage your eyes.

I love lasers though, I have a couple of blue UV ones that make stuff fluoresce and a 20mW one purely for melting things.

Yeah I don't think this is powerful enough to burn through a line of balloons (as I've seen on youtube!) sadly...

And I bought one a few years ago now off ebay and it was advertised as having this immense power output. I had a look on google and its a huge scam :/ they just remove the UV filter and it falsely increases the measurable laser output...whatever. So I emailed the ebay seller about this 'phenomenon' and he basically said yeah my laser had it's filter removed.

Pretty poor really. I will be careful.

I keep meaning to buy a load of glow in the dark paint and cover a bit of mdf in it, so i can draw on it in the dark with the laser pen. one day I'll be that bored.

hahaha even a 1mW 405nm laser pen is scarily bright when you shine it against anything fluorescent, 1W is terrifying. They make dead glowsticks fluoresce even.
