Gibberings CXXXVIII : brimz' ribs

Just thinking about doing my online job search for the day. Have to keep coming up of ways to lessen my chances of being offered the job.
Applied for one last week and made the 'mistake' of emailing them information about what to do when you get arrested which was published by the BNP instead of sending a copy of my CV.
That should help to put my application straight in the bin.

The more of a cunt they are to me it just makes me more determined to not get a job.
Saying that even when I do want a job there are so many people applying for each job that my chances of being selected are slim.

bahahahahaha.

it is bullshit though, the way the system is set up. I had some dealings with it in the past signing on and it was a total nightmare, didn't last long, wasn't even worth the money they were giving me in the end.

It sure is bullshit Ceres.
I had been lucky enough to have worked full time since leaving school at 16 and am 42 now. Had a spell of being unemployed in 1990 when I came out of prison but the system was different then.
They seem to blame us for not having a job when there are about 2.5million unemployed but only about 0.5 million jobs available. So there's always gonna be folk without a job at the moment.
But I've never known it to be this bad. I used to be able to leave one job and walk into another.
Since getting made redundant last year I've applied for all different types of jobs and most of the time you don't even get a letter or email to say you haven't been successful in your application.

they incentivise not getting a job for some people.the dwp. I have a friend who is having a nightmare getting his disability benefits reinstated and he is seriously ill, it's shocking, I see unemployment statistics go down, but I wonder if thats just because people have been chucked off the system and left to fend for themselves....

4-FA and MXE are now illegal here. This makes me a sad panda. Oh well 2-FA, 4-FMA and 3/4-MEO-PCP are still unregulated.

All of the APBs too, never even got try any of those.

really good to hear about your job prospect, kenny. I genuinely think you've got balls of brass to be able to country hop like you do. I know I'm not remotely capable of doing it; altho hopefully it wont always be the case. I'm working on it.

The only reason that the unemployment figures are shown to be dropping is because the government don't count folk on Workfare or work programmes even though they are still actually unemployed. They also don't count people that have their benefits stopped due to being sanctioned, hence the massive rise in the amount of sanctions being handed out lately.

Another common technique to massage the figures is to swap people from JSA to ESA or vice versa. A while back the news was more about people on the sick so they had that massive ATOS-"managed" cull of people on the sick... Which made the unemployment figures too high so now it's y'all JSA folk getting the shit. You'll all be moved on to ESA in a few months probably.

So true Shambles.
Iain Duncan Smith has already been called up on basically lying about statistics to do with his work programme schemes and I believe he has to face some committee in September about his lying and misuse of statistics.
Anyway,long time no talk Shambles.
How are u mate?

Ugh. IDS (so very close to IBS which would be far nearer the truth) is an utter, utter scumfuck. Even by Tory standards he's a nasty, lying, oily piece of shit :|

Has been a while - we were getting a bit concerned about your disappearance cos not like you to be away for so long. Forgot you only had a phone to access BL and such things can be temperamental (or get nicked and stuff). Great to see you back :)

Me? Meh. Been better, been worse. In the grand scheme not so bad really though. Mostly mildly annoyed at how utterly dire the shipping process is from certain online pharmacies. Charge a bastard fortune in postage then takes friggin days to arrive anyway. Don't they know there are sick people who need their meds?!? :!

EDIT: I'm sure Brimz could explain better, but I do believe he had a lil fall and cracked a few ribs. He is fine but no doubt rather sore :!

Thanks Shambles mate, it is good to be back and see the same folk posting plus some new names I don't know yet.
Glad that things aren't too bad with you and I hope you get your delivery soon. I hate the wait once I've ordered something but it's all forgotten about as soon as it gets delivered.

ATOS are fucking evil.

So true.
I've lost count of the stories I've read where ATOS have said someone is fine to work and that person goes on to die within weeks.
The amount of appeals against their initial decisions on people just continues to rise each month and quite a high percentage of those appeals are successful, which goes to show what a shit job ATOS are doing.

I'm off to go and get a few beers to put in the fridge for when my mate gets home from work.
A cold beer is all he has been thinking about all day as his workplace is so damn hot.
Enjoy the rest of the day everybody.

On the beers topic, my sis just dropped me off a bag full them on the way back from asda, along with a thank you card.

It's been 2 years to the day since kidney swapping day. I don't feel like I deserve the thanks since I've not been as productive as I usually am, but the thanks was appreciated anyhow.

Orf out to walk the dog. Have a good un too max.
