Also had a very vivid, very freaky dream last night. Wrote it down again. Not posting it in the dream thread though cos was a bit twisted.

Laaaarvely day out. Can tell the sun's out cos got stopped twice by people wanting to chat. This never happens to me. Think there must be an outbreak of mass sunstroke.

Nice :D

Ben I actually had a dream with you in it the other night but I can't remember it properly - I do remember it involved the Black Keys (doh) and loads of drugs though. Must've been a good dream.

That better not have really happened and we both forgot about it. I would be gutted if we missed the Black Keys. Like I said Pagey if you're in this country when they play next - kicking and screaming, I mean it. Chances are with your new ventures coming up and country hopping as you do you wont be in the same time zone but fear not, I check their site petty much daily for tour news. When they announce a new tour you'll be the first person I tell in a PM. Which will go something along these lines:

ZOMG<OMG<OMGZOMFG!!!!!!1111!!BLACK KEYS O TOUR FUCK SHIT FUCKING FUCK SHIT!!!!!!OMGPOMG!!!!!111!!!

Or words to that effect..

About the dream. I think it really boils down to the fact that we spend far too much time on BL. That was my first thought when I woke up this morning just before logging in at stupid o clock in the morning!

Shambles I love it when that happens. Reminds you that some folk are alright and renews faith in the human race. Actually we get a lot of that type of thing round here. Especially from the older generation.

Then you go home and watch the news. 8)

Hahahahah! That's an embarrassingly accurate description of what'll happen when they announce UK tour dates =D
And I don't care if I'm not in the same country, I'll fly back. Swim if I must.

Oh I recorded Gold on the Ceiling with my amp yesterday (sounds so much better), I might send it over for approval :D

I've actually had a few dreams about BL since I've been a member, it's pretty bad...need to...log off...

What's kinda embarrassing is that the one woman (a neighbour from down the road) I really don't recall ever speaking to other than once months back. She's telling me all the news about her family - going back to when I first moved here, in fact - and I'm mostly smiling and nodding not having a clue who she's talking about. Is nice though cos neighbours here are mostly arseholes frankly so is nice to be spoken to like a human bean for a change :)

Suspect it may actually be down to watching the news it happened actually. If you know where I live you'll understand ;)

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. That's what I like to hear. Oh god I'm so excited already. I won't sleep tonight. I'm such a big kid when it comes to things like this. But saying that I think you know that already!

Yeah please send that over would love to hear it. I thought the vocal on the last one was spot on just I couldn't hear your playing very well and I noticed you play with full chords whereas I cheat and play single notes like in Rocksmith. I'm a lot better than the bloke in that video though honestly. Btw that video the guitar is in dropped D tuning, I don't think it mentions it in the description.

Hahahaha - I like to throw in a few 'did she/he?'s or 'wow really?'s to mix things up a little bit.

I only know Wales Shambles so I don't get the reference. Care to elaborate? Obviously not if it's going to give away your specific location. You'll know if posting the story is 'safe' or not just interested about what happened is all.

Oh right! That is quite specific. I must have missed it when you posted before. I had heard that news as it happens, you couldn't have missed it if you've watched the news for the last few days. I saw a woman on the news this morning claiming how close that community were. Ha a few of the locals volunteering to help find the lasses body. I do wish he'd tell someone what he did with the body, I don't know if it will ease the suffering of the parents or not but, I don't know, I just think he should...

...also do you ever get that thing where you zone out a bit too much from the convo and throw in a 'that's great news' to be met with a funny look. Whoops should have been 'oh how sad', whoopsie.

Ha! Yes, yes I do. frequently in fact. Am shite at following conversations which mean nothing to me. Not saying that this particular conversation meant nothing to me. Was rather nice actually. More just that I had no clue who anybody she told me about was despite her being sure that I did :o

It actually wasn't me that linked my general locale and and that particular news item when it happened. But short of asking for several posts to be censored I decided it's really not such a big deal. Especially in Gibberings which is the intrawebz equivalent of tomorrow's chip wrappers ;)

And yes, it was kinda weird having so many police and national news people around town these last few months. It's actually more or less next door to me it all happened. Not that I know the people involved other than by sight. I do know all of 'em by sight though. Small town innit. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors, eh? :\

Sunshine, weekend, yay. Seem to be coming down with a cold, less yay.

Haha I have, but not since I was 14! Them were the days, connecting gameboys together in the schoolyard to trade your Pokemon! So how much does a gameboy go for these days.... Just out of interest of course ;)
Apparently a fiver from a car boot sale, if you're lucky! Suspect they go for lots more on ebay though.

Never thought about it before but I could go for a Pokemon tattoo. Defo gotta be played on handheld though, sadly just sold both my original cartridges for £25 a pop but got latest one for the DS that I'm charging through. Stupid fun if you've got a mate to trade/battle with.
I know, am tempted to buy one as well. Not sure I want to go back to those ways, though.. had a bad Pokemon habit when I was 18. =D

Indeed. I do hope that poor little girl didn't suffer for long. Shocking, terrible stuff.

EDIT: Hi Swampdragon. The Wildhearts, how was it for you?

Agreed. :\

Hello! Is good to see you back btw. :) Gig was good but not the best I've seen them as their crowds aren't as fun as they used to be, but was worth it to hear some of the obscure b-sides. Did you manage to make the Notts show?

Am going to an Andy Cairns acoustic gig tonight, will be nice to hear some Therapy? stuff.

Oh hell yeah Therapy? Thats got me rubbing my legs in overexcitement. Putting Troublegum on now.

Agreed the crowd has changed, was only a tiny very isolated mosh pit. Back in the day they had the whole of Rock City jumping. Have you ever been to Rock City, I think it has a great sound system and acoustics. It was better before they lowered the roof but it's still great. Lovely rich bass.

Did I ever tell you I was at the Donnington where Ginger threw 'that' guitar into the crowd? Was funny because he said afterwards he hoped someone would take it and form a band with it but folk were handing him tiny bits of it to sign after the gig. :D

I'm gonna get drunk, come round and fuck you up. Not you Swamdragon that was me singing.

Aye, I do love a good mosh pit, and WH gigs aren't really great for them anymore. Not been to Rock City (or Nottingham, in fact) but I always hear good things about it.

And ooo, you didn't get a bit of that guitar, did you? Was a shame it got broken up, though. :\

No sadly not. I would have had it framed or put on some sort of plinth if I did. Was so hectic in the pit I ended up near the back of it when he threw it. Could have had someones eye out.

You like a pit, me too. Best one was Korns first UK performance, Jesus I thought I was going to die. Was proper ace.

Got Troublegum on now and it reminded me at school we played 'Stop It Your Killing Me' for the talent show and the vocalist promised not to swear but when we went on he just blerted it out 'the world is fucked, and so am I' we had the plug pulled on us and got a right rollocking. Rock and roll.

Heheh, that's very rock and roll! The only talent show I remember at school had our teachers singing the Spice Girls. 8)

Not sure what my best pit would have been.. possibly Linkin Park or Alice in Chains. Sadly never got around to seeing Korn (well, I technically had tickets in about 1995 but my idiot mate left the tickets in London..) but I bet that was ace.

Incidentally, I love the word plinth.

Ooh! Korn and Wildhearts mentioned in quick succession? That's gonna piss off a coupla metal bores purists :D

I actually quite like both. I do remember Tribal saying she met Ginger at the pub once and he was a total arsehole. I can believe and accept that though. And still give nary a fuck due to the sheer brilliance of his lil sideproject =D

I was a teenage Wildhearts fan. They were my exit point from metal to 'alternative'. Yeah, those things mattered then.

Met 'em more than once and they were lovely. One time, they'd just emerged from Boddington's brewery. Got them to sign my fanclub Fishing For Luckies. Didn't want Jef to sign it as I wanted his job and he wasn't even on it.

Got me into drugs too. Bastards.

29x The Pain was my rock 'n' roll encyclopedia too. Though the Beatles can suck my suffering ding-dong.

Hear that, Ringo?
