I'm guessing it's too late now, but if you're ever pulled over:

"Do you know how fast you were going sir?"
"Not exactly but around 70mph I think" (or "no, sorry")
"You were going 103mph"
"Goodness! Really, are you sure officer?"

You can get off with just points. Need a plausible excuse and ideally a reason to incentivise the courts not to ban you.

e.g, A driver in front was driving erratically (foreign lorry perhaps?), I accelerated to escape the perceived threat. It becomes less about driving at dangerous speeds and more about driving at speed to escape danger - the speeding is justified.

Anyone dependent on you and your ability to drive? Kids that cant get to school? Missus that can't get to work? Ill family member reliant on you to get to and from hospital appointments? Business owner? Your ability to drive is integral to the security of the business & as such you losing it could result in people losing their jobs.

Basically try and spin a story which means the ban acts to the detriment of innocent 3rd parties.



All that said, you will likely still need a decent solicitor.
Solicitor could also help get you out of a ban if you have neither of the above. You can't be banned if there's been any mistakes in police procedure. You could probably find out for yourself who has the authority to sign XYZ form with regard to your offense but a solicitor is far more likely to find errors.

Just opened the letter from the social that arrived this morn. Cunts are now taking £25/week off me. That's a tenner more than the last couple months when I've been beyond broke as it is. Gonna have to trek up to the advice centre to see about reducing these deductions cos they're just getting ridiculous now :\

Also got an offer for benefits advice from a certain somebody's significant other t'other day. Very decent indeed of 'em. And looks to be sorely needed :|
 
Cooking a roast wrapped in bacon, green pepper, rosemary and garlic. Still have a couple of Sierra Nevadas, a Pale Ale and an IPA left from my bday. Nice meal I'll have.

Yes. 103, A1(M) southbound from Peterborough on motorbike. Unmarked car pulled me over and started giving me the routine. Luckily for me they got a call on their radio for something more important, they told me to get out and that I'd hear from them, then sped off. I never heard from them. Pure luck.

Thanks was actually my wife who got caught. She had no idea how fast she was going (I've certainly never seen her doing 100).

Lots of children with learning difficulties treatment is dependent on her ability to drive so will hopefully avoid a ban (or at least a lengthy one). Thanks MM!

That aside, back from the advice centre. Not looking hopeful but waiting on a callback from the social this afternoon. Did find out they've just opened a food bank here so got given a big bag of food. Nasty cheapshit food (mostly value pasta, tinned carrots and the like - but also a tin of rice pudding =D) but food all the same. Is fukkin disgusting that such things are even necessary really :\

Also, emergency fallback trainers have been killing me for months now. Holes in the soles so suck up water like a sponge (which is bad enough :!) but last few months they've started eating gravel and stones. No point even stopping to empty 'em out cos within a minute they've just eaten more. Back end has gone so they've been gradually eating a hole in me heel for weeks now. Heel won't heal cos it's constantly being dug deeper. Just took me shoes off and can see the fukkin bone now 8o

Life on the sick, kiddies. Don't go being ill for any length of time - is bad for your health :\
