That's not bad, but you need something more snappy to get the attention - like:

Boy meets Girl. Boy eats Girl.
 
My cousin studied drama at uni, then she was a jobbing waitress in London, did a few ads and had bit parts in corrie & Benders.

She wrote a 2 man play and it was on at the Gilded balloon at the Fringe festival. A well known actor was in the audience and decided he wanted to make it as a screen film as his directing debut so he raised a small (£150k) budget and it went on national release in art house cinemas last year to decent reviews.

If you've got a good story line & script then prove your work on the stage, its far easier to get stuff out there, theatres are always wanting good material written for them and there are plenty of writing comps to enter. Many big films started on stage. Walk before you try to run.

That's pretty fucking cool. I'd love to write a film, definitely couldn't though. Fuck all patience & I'm not particularly creative so would have to draw heavily on real life experiences, of which there are plenty but nothing that could be pieced together into a half decent script.

I got told the other week, by someone I'd just met that night, that I should be a stand-up comedian but it was about 10am on a Saturday morning, I was full of Wine, eckies & speed so was just ranting shite at 100mph. Definitely wouldn't work out of context lol.

Everyone reckons they have one good novel / script in them though.. we could start by helping Mugz along first though..

So Mugz - I think you need a quirky sidekick, for comic relief - maybe a Research Chems guru holed up in his 'lab' who turns you on to the rc's... you could easily make a composite of some of EADD's characters for that one..

And, I dunno, a podgering postman who delivers the goods.. that kinda thing

edit: Just went to blag a ciggie off my housemate and got given the ends of a spliff instead. Love that man, he's the ideal housemate: quiet, clean, rather attractive, and does drugs. What more could you want?

Never realised that page existed. Very handy! I've used "strike" on other bulletin boards. ANCHOR and JUMPTO are also useful, and i've used them in the opiate/opioid withdrawal symptoms thread, but there are buttons for them when you go advanced. Shame "video" doesn't work (or is it a shame? Probably not!)
