HAHA, no, I can't remember the thread or be arsed to find it but there was one where people would post what they're expected likeliness of the posters in EADD by photos from the web, obviously rockstar and ptch were chavs, I was brian cox, not sure who chose it, blame them, there is no likeness, other that the fact that my hair is about that length and I enjoy science and learning new things.

I am supposed to be asleep, but I'm still preparing for my travels. I'm getting the midday train to dahn sarf, every time I go on a journey it takes me hours and hours to get ready and I end up not sleeping.

I suppose it's because I insist on taking technology as entertainment. If i put a fucking book in my bag I would be packed in a few minutes.

Next time I'll be ready before midnight, or I'll nail my eyes to the floor.

The other thing is I am taking a portable electronics repair workshop, to get my brother's MP3 player going again. The contents of my bag are mostly tools.

Oh, I finished watching Daria. Five seasons. By the end of the fifth season I realised that it's cartoon for american middle-class teenage girls. I don't understand why I enjoyed it so much. So, if you're going to watch it, load up on drugs.

Cannot copy Robot and Frank to this fucking micro SD card for love or money. I don't know what the problem is, it says it's copied OK then when I try to open it, the computer says NO. Three times I've tried now. Must be something to do with the file size? It's 2.2GB. I've managed to copy a load of smaller files with fewer problems (still some problems, several files said they'd copied but were empty). I've never had anything but pain with micro SD cards. Am I the only one? I want to burn all the micro SD cards in the world in a huge tiny fire. And once the flames have died down, half of them will still be intact. Then I'll try and put files on them, and it'll say it's copied OK, but it won't fucking work, then I'll nail my testicles to the ceiling. But the nails won't hold properly so I'll have to go to B&Q and buy special testicle mounting screws, and none of them will work, so I'll use fucking superglue. Then there will be an announcement that horse meat has been found in my testicles, and they will have to be withdrawn.

Copying one file at a time seems to help :!

Another day stuck in a room doing computer training today but then course is over.

Are you from Norwich originally, maxalfie? I like the city, it's getting there that's murder. My brother's wife's family is from a small village just outside Norwich, which is why he lives there; she studied and worked in Edinburgh for a while, which is how they met, and they moved down after they'd had kids, so she could be near her family.

It's an interesting place, obviously it's rural and historic, there's the cathedral and the many churches, lots of narrow winding roads in the centre, but also got some nice modern and even bohemian touches (the Workshop on Earlham Road is a cool wee place where you can get wine by the bottle, eat tapas and play boardgames). There's the occasional bit of urban blight but it's mostly really nice. And I've drunk in a few proper pubs there too. I wouldn't mind living there, really.

I think they even have places where you can dance to that new fangled electric music.

Both my parents were born and bought up in Norwich before my dad joined the army.
I was born in N.Ireland and one of by sisters was born in Germany and the other was born in Cyprus.
Went my dad left the army after 25 years he moved back to Norwich and so did my mum and sisters as parents were divorced by then.
I lived there for a couple of years but then moved to Cambs as there was more work here at the time.
I guess Norwich could be called my home city but I don't feel like its home but I do think its a lovely city.
The castle on the hill has a great museum inside.
Have a good time while you are there.
