Nice to know, Ponti. Have become very partial a lil IM action... but after seeing those high-magnification images of Shitalin Ceres posted I am kinda wondering about the risk factor more. Will have to read up on proper sterilisation of solutions methinks. Flash-boiling probably don't cut it...

the first time i had mxe i did way too much and went to the campus library. i had convinced myself that i had thought the most important thought there was. then i did more mxe, and a dash of 2c-p with it. i woke up the next morning naked with my knees damaged all to hell. apparently i barged into my roommates' room and started squirting them with water from the squirt bottle that they used to discipline the cats. they yelled at me "get the hell out!" and me, in my mxe haze, i ran not just out of their room but out of the house butt naked. i stumbled in the street several times and tore up my skin on the asphalt. i came out of my blackout in the bathtub. the water was quite red. two years later, i still have the scars.
 
I know that we have strong opinions on this and it's really hard not to express them given the nature of the situation and the extremely polarised posts about it all over the forum.. but I think that we should respect Mugz' wishes not to speculate further here. I appreciate the point that he himself has been posting all over the forum, but we know that he often finds it hard stepping back when he should; that doesn't mean it's okay for us to do the same..

I know this is really unpleasant and I know it's frustrating and we're not (as staff) going to get it right all the time, very far from it! But trying to manage a situation of such a serious nature; relating to two well-known posters; where the facts are complicated and interpretation even moreso; that affects so many different forums and is by it's nature an issue which arouses strong feelings is tricky to say the least :\ I think that the main thing is to do the right thing for all concerned, and that is to try to stop discussing it - or at least stop any speculation, judgement or drama.

I've seen at least a few posts making incorrect assumptions about things that are or are not happening behind the scenes (IRL I mean, not behind BL scenes) but I don't want to go and pick them out as I've been asked not to talk about it by the people involved - but we none of us know the full story; the people involved are not on BL for a week and I think we should do what we can not to make this any harder for anyone.

Fucking hell, Findus lasagne found to 60-100% horsemeat! They're made in France, crim gangs controlling the market apparently.

I've got no problem with eating horse as it happens, if they're not full of medicines, wormers & de-louse solution - aka if they're reared specially for meat and not transported live.

Sadly that isn't the case. To transport live animals for meat is wrong full stop be they docile cows or highly tuned sensitive horses. And fuck knows what effects those meds have entering the food chain.

Not sure how I'd feel if I had eaten a Findus meal every week for the last 10 years... anyone?

Sorry, back OT ;) I know its a cliche but I do believe some people have to hit rock bottom before we are ready to change. Just read what mugz wrote anout the chat with his dad, if this event is the turning point for mugz then in time he will be able to see the good that can come out of a crock of shit situation like this.

How does that blog even work, how do we see who wrote what? It looks like mugz wrote it all, I dont get it, I'm a no tech.

I still want retribution though, and I'm not sure what that says about me as a person :(

I've had the odd findus crispy pancake, very tasty, but if I buy frozen shite from a shop I stick to veggie stuff. The veggie lifestyle is so much simpler, cleaner, healthier, less evil and less full of drama, which is why I exercise my right to be a part-time veggie.

On a lighter note (until the sand eels get mentioned again) - ordered my fish tank:). Going to take 10days for delivery though :(. Prebooking random images of fish slots.

If anyone fancies a second hand fish tank in about 2 months let me know :D

lol I was gonna say that this morning, the free ads are always full of fish tanks, quite telling in itself.

When I was about 15 my friend won a goldfish at the fair and then we got drunk on natch and she didnt want to carry it around any more so she threw it in a bin :(
 
Findus lasagne: Have 'em occasionally cos they're often 99p and I'm often skint. They're pretty horrid, mind. Horsemeat must cost as much as beef cos they're certainly tight enough with it :!

I have no problem eating horse, personally. But not labelling properly is more of an issue imo.

Aquaria: Had a mate years ago whose old man was obsessed with 'em. Had massive fishtanks embedded in all the downstairs walls, under the stairs, any ol' nook and cranny really. Bond villain stylee almost. The fish were lovely and was actually rather impressive. Cost him a fortune and a lotta work to keep up to scatch too though.

Also have a brother who's obsessessed with fish in general. He got himself a medium-size tank for his bedroom but never kept up with the cleaning. Thing was literally opaque with black gunk and stank. Fish seemed to survive though.

Whats a sand eel? I wouldnt mind a fish tank, how big? :D, gonna buy some colourful fish in march, i love watching them whilst on drugs, does it come with a filter or owt like that? And what area you in/would you post it if i paid fees? Also might look on gumtree or freecycle so i can pick it up, are there loads on there?
 
Sandeels are the best bass bait in the summer. Keeping them alive is a nightmare though.

they need very cold fresh saltwater, lotsof aeration, and are not an attractive fish...really hard to keep alive unless you have massive tanks....theymostly bury themselves in the sand, cos every time they pop their headup they know a big bass or cod will munch them.
