Bloody CSA called on Friday and they apparently are gonna try to start taking £14 off my fortnightly JSA payments.
I told them my son is 19 on the 13th of this month so I thought CSA payments stopped then but apparently it now runs until the 'child' is 20 years old.
I've had no letter or seen any press releases about CSA now stopping at age 20.
I thought you became an adult legally at age 18.Fucking takes the piss, why haven't they told people about this sudden rule change?

Dunno whats on today, couple of son's mates are round, could be a Nerf battle on the cards....

Can't beat a bit of a Nerf battle :D Housemate has a shit loaded of modded ones, some are fuckin scary, keep finding the ammo dotted everywhere.

Essay done, time for cider and old skool weekend on CiTV, Knightmare yessss =D

I hear some kind of disturbance involving one of my housemates and a bloke in the kitchen. Sounded a bit like a 'domestic' style situation

I don't feel nice about being a man this morning.
Eh, epically not good :( .. and a very strange WTF situation to have been involved with.

I really hope the female involved has people around her, who she feels she can lean on for support or company as and when she needs it.

Good call on braving the situation in the first place Sam, and then going back out again. It can be so fucking hard to make that call, for a whole host of reasons.

What's the situation today? Hope you can go out and visit friends if you need to

Was it one of your housemates that called the police or a neighbour?

Yasssss! Indeed, Snollz. I fukkin loved that show <3

For any of y'all young 'uns who never had the pleasure: start here and work your way through the rest of 'em. Lawdy luvz PooToob and the obsessives who ride inside her for posting every single episode of just about every kids teevee show I adored as a nipper =D

... this week I've come closer than ever before to snapping me banjo string, really bruised at the moment.

I snapped me banjo once as a younger man. Actually, I lay at least half of the blame at the cunny within whose fannyfrictastical quivering quim-lining said string was so very vigorously pushed beyond breaking point with. Was very bloody sore and necessitatied upping me daily opi-intake in order to struggle on through the pain :(

Think we even had to stick to non-penetrative spooning for a coupla days after 8o

@SamHG I wouldn't go pulling out knives unless you intend to use it.
I learnt my lesson with that aged 17 when I pulled a knife and used it and got sentenced to 3years 9months for it and I was lucky cos another inch and it could have been murder.
So I don't fuck about with blades anymore.

Fuck knives, don't carry them, don't fight them, simple as.

I'd say the majority of cases when someone is murdered by a blade in a robbery etc is just pure out of fear of the attacker and them acting instinctively and attacking. Plus there are much better ways to teach someone a lesson than to end their life, they wont learn anything that way.

Edit: Just seen the original post, to be honest if someone was in my home without permission etc and was getting on violent or seemed a danger to me then my boundaries would get a bit wider.

I wonder what happened to the presenter of knightmare.

Twas a good actor iirc.

He's still working, Cornish. Flogged the dead (at far too young an age :() Knightmare horse in one or two minor "come-backs" (including Knightmare VR which I'd not heard of til but a moment ago and am about to watch) but mostly does voicework for videogames these days, apparently. That and bit parts in Doctor Who and the like anyway. Oh, and probably his most feted role would surely have been in Chucklevision.

W T F ! ! ! 8( :sus:

Can anyone confirm whether this is for real? As in, can they do this to you?? Mate, that is fucked up.

On a lighter note Shambles is right...check out Knightmare clips on youtube...awesome tv!!! Used to scare me a bit weirdly! Think it was the music! Not the theme tune (which has excellent animation and characters btw!) it's when they run out of time and and that head in the corner starts shedding bits of itself and a low bell rings...spooky!

@ SAM
You done well to get out of that mess without anything serious going down bruv. It's tough when you are in that situation though.
One part of you is saying:"be the man!sort this shit out!" and the other:"fuck that, this ain't my problem!"
You know which one is the sensible plan but because you have a good heart the emotions take over. Shit init?!

But that's just another day in old mancunia!<3

Is your housemate OK mate?

@Backroll yes it is true about the CSA now being payable to the 'child' is aged 20.
Things like if the kid is working or in full/part time education can affect payments.
I have to pay cos I had 3 months of no payments from when I was made redundant until I signed on. So they want they payments I didn't make in those 3 months then afaik no more payments after those arrears are cleared while I remain unemployed.
Google it I did after they rang me and yeah it was on there about the new age being 20 for when payments stop.
Nice of them to notify everyone about eh!

Hell yes Knightmare VR, gonna give that one a watch. Really wish it'd get a comeback, it was a quality show and the one I just watched on CiTV still had me a bit nervous and on edge even though I'm in my mid 20s and the CG is crap. Sense of tension there for real, especially when the kid in the helmet is a bit special. There was some VR thingy fronted by Craig Charles back in the mid 90s too, can't remember the name but I could still draw you the set. Oh dear.

I'm just settling into watching "Knightmare-First ever winner" It's brill (as I would have said at that age). But what I wouldn't have said is...

Check out the buff ting in the second room!!! 8o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11U20DApGA4 =D

It's good all this old skool chat, I was watching Fun House with the wife yesterday, only to be told that she was in the Welsh version herself! Can't remember how to spell that though!

Anyone here been on tele??

Like backroll says, it ws more instinct and emotion than any bravery or valour on my part. I assume she called the rozzers as she seemed pretty confident by the time she convinced me to go to my room, and I think the guy was getting more worked up because of that.

I've been for a walk (pound shop and supermarket) but beyond that not much else, though I had a couple of vallies on an empty stomach this morning along with a dose of bupe that seemed to hit me quite hard. I don't think anyone wants to see me gouch out.

As for my housemate, she had a friend around after all the police business and they seem to have gone somehwere, so hopefully she's in good hands.

Can't believe the guy next door didn't do a thing - he's like a rugby player, and I'm like a cheapo Johnny Thunders. Hence the weapons - I know that's a whole world of danger and stupidity in itself.

I didn't really ask about details - just told her to stop being silly when she apologisd for waking e up, and let her know I wasn't angry at her in the slightest.

I was probably angrier at he way police questioning in these matters tends to be stacked against the victim, but that's a whole other thread.

I have two tins of Super now.

Haha, always wanted to be on Fun House. I have been on the telly, but on a regional news program which I have no desire to search for. My housemate was on 50/50 though, see him wearing the t-shirt around sometimes.

The big guy's the same one who burst into my room on Xmas day and tried to get me involved in his squabble even when I'd politely aske to be left alone. A bit of an aresehole basically, and has an ongoing dispute with the girl in quetion.

Maybe he slept through it, but I can't see how. Maybe he didn't understand the implications of it. I don't know. Can't say for sure, though playing the anorexic hardman is getting a bit tiring.

just a quick one for y'all to say hello. any orthodox people happy christmas. keep thinking "i'm back to work tomorrow" but considering i've worked virtually everyday over the holidays it's merely a matter of back to the day job. gonna sort out the kitchen bathroom and laundry then walk the dog and see a man about a dog while i'm on it. this year is going to be a good one for me, even tho i 'm more or less certain that their will be 2 family funerals before the end of the year. i'm feeling very sad about these things. taxes, death and form filling. certainties in life eh.
