Ahh the kind of beers IMO, maybe trumped by Duvel but that's far too bourgeois for all but the most affluent occasions:D

1st drink in 22 days !! i've had 2 cans & i thoink i'll try n save at least one 4 the mora i got a important ting in the morning .

62.5p a can ffs if i had more £ i would have bought the whole stock ( 12 cans :) ) at that price

Yea think it was the second one? Maybe not though, It was called Street Fighter : Hyper Fighter edition

Or some shit like that.

spent much of my childhood on that game

Champion Edition? Turbo? Come to think of it, I think there was one with a 'Hyper' in there. So many versions of that game. Classic though.

A certain teacher at my school who liked video games would let people bring in consoles for wet lunchbreaks. I gained a lot of grudging respect from the scallies (95% of the school) because I could execute the spinning piledriver flawlessly and effortlessly. Or seemingly effortlessly - the blisters on my thumb would beg to differ. Good days.

Sadly that little anecdote doesn't work as a chat-up line, I've found.

Haha, wow though, consoles in school! I remember when I first got my Megadrive I played Sonic right up close to the screen for so long I got a bad headache, and my mum said I should stay home from school, so spent the whole next day back on Sonic, was buzzing (if a little sore headed)

was weird cos nomrally would never have been allowed to stay home, but for some reason I did that day. And it was when my mum worked nights as a nurse so she was asleep all day while I played Sega. Proper early memory :D

Alright Sam
£2.50 /4 cans of brew .
Thats me been told to stay in my flat by everyone that cares about me !

I've been forcing myself to get back into drinking cans of beer again.
Used to be a right pisshead until I discovered heroin and then I just stopped all my drinking totally.
Now I've stopped the gear I need something that I can look forward to in the evenings.
It only takes me one or two cans of lager and I'm satisfied with that but I'm still a long way off from wanting to get pissed again.
I think a single can of Special Brew would nearly put me on my back as I'm such a lightweight now its embarrassing.

Stop gloating, you lucky fucker. ;)

And yeah, make sure you stay in, and preferably sitting down. Especially if it's your first drink since the meds.

Tekken - I know so many people whose most vivid childhood memories involve consoles / gaming in general. Perhaps the tabloids had a point in the eighties when they tried to make out that kiddies were being brainwashed. :D

Careful - I've seen that particular switch fuck more than one person up. If you've been a heroin addict, you can easily become an alcoholic if you use it as a direct substitute.

On the other hand, there are loads of people out there who've quit gear and manage to drink responsibly. So it all depends on your self-control, personality, etc.

where the fuck you can 4 cans of brew for 2 and a half quid?

I'm on Westons, 2 bottles for 3 quid. I feel robbed. :(

Naa it was definitely hyper something.

Character list was: Chun Li, Blanka, Ken, Ryu, Bison, Zangeif, Honda, Dalshiam (the teleporting stretchy armed nutcase) Giuly, Vega, Sagat and... think that was it ? Might have been a couple more but there weren't many.

Haha I can relate to the blisters mate, the mega drive controllers were fucking brutal on the thumbs. Burnt out little rings on mine haha.

Street Fighter and shit were so fucking difficult.

I had a Capcom vs Marvel game on the Dreamcast, great games, but with any of those sideways scrolling fighting games I never got past random button mashing, if I ever did pull off some ridiculously convoluted but all powerful special move i never managed to replicate it.

Remember playing street fighter a lot when i was a kid, and the tekken games, wicked

Street Fighter and shit were so fucking difficult.

Not for those of us with lightning-quick cognition and the dexterity of a brain surgeon. Who plays piano part-time.

You'd just fucked yourself up through taking too much of that much-lauded, magical, early nineties MDMA that people never, ever bang on about.
