The things I get dragged into are too weird.

Just had help a crazy guy take 10 meter of floor vinyl across half of town with not much more that a shoelace to secure it, now I am off to a meal with some hard line CHristian guy & his wife that talk in tongue & think they can make arms & legs grow.

My life is too fucked up 8)

LOL fuck me we've all been on the sauce today I recon

I love each of you, and EADD and all who sail in her. Farmaz even gets some lubs ... life's too short for being miserable. which begs the question, why is eastenders so fucking popular when it's just misery based?
wackaday should be where it's all at really.

that is so sweet. PLUR u guys
but seriously tho wackaday ur right i find it hard to believe that timmy malett wasnt boshing dmt or somthing back then the clobber he used to wear :-|

Hello Guys n Gals .

Everybody ok ?

Well i have had a pretty hectic last 4 days too much to go into but it involved my Toe getting infected post the op. Trips to walk in Centre's N Hospitals n a fair bit of pain .

I'm on a big dose of Flucloxacillan & it's pretty nasty tbh .

It's not all been bad , i've had some enjoyable company & whatnot . The Birdies have been enjoyable as well .
Blackcap is back:)

ouch Brimz. I betcha weren't restin it like you were supposed to were ya ? hrmn?
Have you had the whole toe nail removed? I imagine if it gets infected you're gonna feel it with every step .. nasty :(

How long is your course of Flucloxacillan for, is it one of the ones you can't drink alcohol with? Hope not

I remember the thread you made a bit ago asking for novel suggestions for how you could fill your time up while your toe healed. I think we all decided that it was gonna be DMT related. So how's the other extraction going? ;)

Birdies are indeed ace atm. My little garden has a regular local crew of a couple of pairs of blackbirds, 2 pairs of collared doves, a robin, loadsa sparrows and starlings and about 10 goldfinches who descend all at once. Small garden about 4m x 4m tho, so not bad. A couple of years ago I noticed a Firecrest in the garden pick pecking about all the dead flowers and seed pods. Never seen him since tho, and that's the only one I've ever seen.

Was gonna post a few of my regular visitors over in the RSPB thread later

Goldfinches fly in packs. Every time I drive home about 100 get disturbed by the engine and form a yellow blur as they dart out of the hedge. Nyjer seeds Marmz. Nyjer seeds.

yeah I never got any until I put those out, I can't pretend that they're here to see me ;p

My garden has basically morphed into a huge bird feeding station .. and a place for bugs and frogs (despite having no pond and being surrounded by housing) ... Nerdboy's turned my meticulous little lawn into a wild n messy, insect and bird friendly, haphazard mess.

I put out about 6 different types of birdfood and mix my own for the groundfeeders too.

Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's
The little old bird woman comes.
In her own special way to the people she calls,
"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs.

Come feed the little birds, show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do.
Their young ones are hungry,
Their nests are so bare;
All it takes is tuppence from you."

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag.
"Feed the birds," that's what she cries,
While overhead, her birds fill the skies.

All around the cathedral the saints and apostles
Look down as she sells her wares.
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling
Each time someone shows that he cares.

Though her words are simple and few,
Listen, listen, she's calling to you:
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."

Funny you should mention frogs. There is a stream that runs under the road (to cross the road as it were) about 10 yards from my house. It runs diagonally so it's about 20-30 yards from my back garden. Frogs in the garden are a regular. Frogs in my house are not unknown. It's happened twice. First time we were away and guests using the house discovered one in the living room when they turned up. Second time I was sitting up at 3am after a lot of drugs and with blurred vision. Stared at the fucker for ages thinking, yeah yeah, mild hallucination. Then it jumped. And disappeared in a tiny hole in the corner of the room. I have quite thick stone walls. With frogs living in them.

Had a sand lizard living on a shelf (6 feet up a wall) for a whole summer a few years ago too.

@ Farmaz Pigeon feeders = :!:X:!

[edit]
hah, sounds like you've got a covert labyrinth of frog tunnels. Never had one in my house tho. The frog that does live in my garden is one huge SOB though ... massive. A cat tried to nibble on one at my mums once and the screaming noise it made was amazing. They're like little amplifiers.

[edit x 2]
you get lizards in wales? or was it an escaped pet?

Your correct Marmz . I didn't rest up as much as i should have, it's difficult to just like stop everything though even for "lazy Jobless Folk "8) like myself.

The nail was cut down both sides so their is still some left , trhe nurse did say that it is common for infection to happen post op. It's fukin throbbing atm , i have to get it looked at again in the morning .
No booze for me either your right

I've kinda been distracted with personal things lately , a funeral has been attended & i also have another personal thing that has sort of taken over quite a bit of time , maybe i will e mail you if you are curios ?

Blackcap is back as i stated & the BTO are doing a survey about their behaviour as they are being seen in gardens more often . They want to know where they stand in the pecking order .

How can you not love that little fella ?
If anyone on this board will know it's you .
Right so you know the Coal Tit the wee guy of the Tit family . Well he has a tendency to get on the feeder & shovel out all the seeds looking for one in particular . Coal Tits are meant to be shy by all accounts but these fellas are on a mission i wonder what seed he is after any ideas ? :)

Mary Poppins bird lady ;)
throught you would have the film on 3D Blu Ray disk tbh.

imo Julie Andrews could sing & I really mean that.

I knew what film it was from ;p ... we had to sing that song in the school choir once.

And yes, I've been mentioned in the same sentence as Mary Poppins many times before

Spit Spot!

Just looked it up, cause the only ones I get in my garden are occasional Blue Tits ..

from garden birds UK:

Coal Tit Feeding

Insects, beech mast and conifer seeds are among the Coal Tit's natural diet.

In the garden, they prefer black sunflower seeds, sunflower hearts and occasionally suet.

When food is plentiful they hoard it by hiding it all over the place so that they food for later when times are harder. Unfortunately, the Coal Tit's memory is not as great as its ingenuity in hiding places and you will often find forgotten sunflower seeds germinating in the most unlikely places!

Great Tits can sometimes be seen watching a Coal Tit stashing away its seed and then go and raid it.

Is it just normal wild bird food that it's rummaging around in? If so, based on the above info, it'll probably be rummaging for the black sunflower hearts, and looking to stash em for later may be?

Yup, shoot me an email, always interested to hear about what folks are doing, I'm just a little slack at getting back to folk, you know me and communication by now tho, always a bit sporadic .. I was gonna contact you about popping something in the mail for you sometime soon anyway.

Coal Tits Brimz. I love them. In my garden they seem to come on their own, individually as opposed to the packs of Blue Tits, Greenfinches, Sparrows etc. For me it's the bloody, but lovely, Greenfinches that chuck everything everywhere (I get loads so sunflowers growing under the feeders). Coal Tits seem to sit there picking and choosing a bit but they get left alone, which makes me think they are quite hard bastards despite their size. Goldfinches are really hard bastards. Get the occasional one on the feeder ( they must have better sources than my garden) and every other bird just gets out of the way. Actually same applies to me favourite, Nuthatch.

Did you see my great tit post about the pox Brimz? RSPB need to know of you see one. I did. Poor bastards, horrible looking disease. And they die.

Oh. Sunflower seeds Brimz, if it wasn't obvious from what I said.

The sparrows in my garden match my goldfinches. and share the sunflowerheart feeder together sometimes. I've actually seen a sparrow mimicing their behaviour when jostling/queuing for positions and trying to eat the niger seeds.

I have bolshy Blackbirds too ... one of the females chases off starlings when she comes across them ground feeding on her patch
