Blimey. Only takes but a mention of the Gibberings Loveshack and we've gone from arguing the toss over the finer points of racism to talk of EADD bum<3 and tossing <3's about with wild abandon in less than a page.
 
I've reported a few posts, yeah.

If they don't get reported, they stay up.

I've reported a couple, maybe three in my time here. I don't really think of it as 'telling' or 'grassing', more that they're things / words / whatevers which someone has put up to create a negative reaction and cause unrest because they're an attention-seeking dickhead. Mainly the 'cause unrest' bit. This is quite a peaceful place most of the time and I like that about it.

edit: and actually I think I reported one post because a picture in it contained information which the poster probably didn't want to be widely known.
 
Nowt wrong with reporting posts that need reporting. Whatever y'all feel about abiding by rules and regulations the fact is that BL has rules and regulations and they're mostly they're for good reason. Sooner posts that are gonna need removing get removed the less clean up is required which makes threads flow better and less need for editing/removing later posts that refer to or quote the offending original. And yeah, I also report stuff sometimes. Makes life easier for modbods and keeps the place running smoother. My opinion and all that.

Anyway, lovely and cold isn't it? Definitely need to be able to afford your heating on an evening like this.
 
Hi all, hope you're having a pleasant evening :) I've been hibernating this past little while, things have been a bit shite but hopefully on the up now. Full of dhc and canned Pimms and off to see a friend now, be good to get out and about!

Reporting posts is really useful for us. Gives us a barometer on how people feel about things and provides a papertrail (so to speak) which helps us make sure we're being even handed and not acting without cause. Also helps us react quicker if we're just skimming past, so is generally much appreciated. I don't see it as grassing, we can see the posts anyway, just helps us to know how you guys feel about it IMO :)

Srs business indeed haha. I have missed EADD <3

Am currently having to decide whether to have me heating on more often and just live with the fact I'll be paying it off for bastard ever or try to just have it on occasionally and be slightly less skint. Have just (this week) finally managed to pay off me bill from a coupla years back. Got to start paying off last years starting next week. Fuckin' gas board take waaaaaaay more off me giro than anyone else does :\
 
And BHM, that post irritated me because there's an awful lot of misinformation about asylum seekers and refugees.

How many of them do you know? Have you ever worked with them? Been friends with anyone in that situation?

I worked directly with them either as my full time job, or as part of my full time job for nearly five years, I became friends with a few, and am still in touch with a couple. My wife works in housing, and most of the propoganda in the press about asylum seekers receiving priority treatment is just myth.

She's home from work in a bit if you want some facts and figures.

Although I uess you ave facts and figures too :)

When my heating was fucked last year (or maybe the year before?) I honestly and seriously considered just burning stuff in me living room cos it was so bastard cold. Perhaps for the best that I decided against it and huddled over a few candles instead really.
 
My flat's absolutely freeeeezing. I'm in a similar position Shams, we've got fuck all money coming in at the mo and I have stupid storage heaters that take a day to heat up and cost a fortune.. My mate's giving me a gas heater soon though, said one canister lasts ages so hoping that will do the job in the living room/kitchen. Don't care about the bedroom, that's what blankets are for!
