They get no sympathy if they are still smoking during treatment. The saddest thing I saw was a couple of weeks ago was a guy smoking a dart while hooked up to his chemo bag. Seriously if you want any sort of fighting chance then you should stop smoking.
 
That is sad, yet you say you don't sympathise. I don't understand. To me sadness and sympathy are linked.

Or are you using the other definition of sad, "pathetic"?
 
It's a sad situation for his family and the poor doctors and nurses trying to save his life. No sympathy for his eventual plight if he isn't willing to help himself. I refuse to perform certain surgery on smokers because the decrease in circulation significantly reduces healing. If pregnant women can stop cold turkey then so should a cancer patient. Unless of course they want to die.
 
Why do you think a pregnant woman is a good comparison? Do you think tumours have a right to a healthy host?
 
meh. shit day. since when does a large section of the A-fucking-1 close at 8pm for maintenance?!!!1 it's always done 10pm or later ... and then fucking schizophrenic diversion signs to boot, mostly obscured by the overgrowth along the roadside

then just as I got back on it I saw the flash of a speed camera go off in my mirror as I was doing 83. FUUUUUCK! Had a clean license for over 5 years. That'll mean points, fine AND having to apply for a new license since mine got nicked about 5 years ago. How much is a new license now? £60 or some shit.

^ Remember your speedometer is always innacurate. 83 on the clock probably equates at about 75mph. If you're lucky the camera may not have had film in; but probably did.

90% of women I know stop smoking and drinking as soon as they find out they are pregnant. Why is it so easy for them and not some cancer patient?

The two situations are not similar, in the first a woman find out she is going to have a baby and her natural instinct to safeguard her child takes effect. In the second someone finds out they have a serious disease that may or may not be smoking related. This is pretty shoddy thinking even for you.


Marmz a new license is around £20. You'll get 3 points and a £60 fine I reckon. That's annoying. It always happens when you're under some stress or other. And 7 hours driving is plenty stress.

It was actually my sisters car as well ... thank fuck tbh, since altho I renewed my insurance, I'm late with my MOT and tax. It's getting done in the morning now tho. 100%

I fucking love churches btw. My old shrooming haunt has one that's unused, but maintained and it's a place of beauty. tiny little thing with about 10 pews.

Great place to crash for a bit. There's a visitors book changed yearly and the comments are glorious.
